Welcome to Cedar Park 54th St.!!! Where should I begin? I guess it started at the host stand where we were greeted promptly by three young professionals. They quickly got us sat with a highchair and squared us away for service. The ambience of this place was absolutely stellar!! As you walk into the left, you have a bar area with multiple tall tables, horseshoe shaped bar area tables on the patio with fires on the table!! TVS ALL OVER. You have two golf simulator bays as well as 8 to 10 cornhole board sets and pickle ball courts. This place is going to be popping all spring and summer and pre-sporting events… Off to your right is the dining area with a complete.open view of the kitchen. Coming from the service industry it was really great to see how this restaurant ran. They’ve only been open two days and everything was fantastic few touch and go spots, but let’s be honest. No new restaurant opens up and fires 100% on all cylinders.
The food pictured below Does not do your taste buds justice. Unfortunately, you can’t taste those pictures because what those plates brought As far as flavor profile were fantastic!! From left to right you have the garlic and herb cream cheese stuffed mushrooms with a Cajun horseradish sauce I’m assuming… House made crabcakes with the roasted red pepper, as well as tartar sauce and a fire roasted corn salsa, Mac daddy cheese I think iis what it was called. the next dish is the double Smashburger and shame on me for not getting the brisket chuck blend however, our server who was very attentive. Let me point out. Recommended the fries as he said they are way better than Chick-fil-A’s waffle fries. I will say, sir, I concur with your assessment the waffle fries with the gringo queso were next level excellent recommendation!! The last dish is carrot cake and if I could leave explicit lyrics or comments on Google and it be OK I would but OMG this cake there’s Not a word to describe how delicious it was!!!
Last, but but least I have to give a shout out to who I’m assuming is a manager Managing the floor on crutches kudos goes to you for working during an injury. Super impressed.!! I watched you delegate talk to help out anything that was needed and I even mentioned that to my wife while we were eating. I will tell you guys right now if you keep serving the Same meals that taste this great every time you will last a very long time here!! Our first visit here but we have visited the 54th St. locations in Kansas City, Missouri And independence.
Hats off to everyone in the kitchen and everyone who made our family Dinner date A success!! We will most...
Read moreI’ve been going here at least once a week since they opened. The food and seating options are great. I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for a long time and the service here is absolutely the worst I have ever seen. My dad and I came in around 9:45 for happy hour and sat at a bar table. We were completely ignored for 10 minutes. One of the bartenders must have gotten off her shift or something because she was sitting in one of the gaming booths. All the staff kept going to sit down and talk to her and literally wouldn’t even look in our direction. I got up to get some drinks and the bartenders were too busy trying to complete closing tasks to notice me. They finally did and ensured me that a waiter would be right with me. We eventually got a waiter. He took our order and we never saw him again. I got my food and needed silverware and once again had to get up, go to the bar, and get ignored, just to get forks. I tipped the waiter because I don’t believe in not tipping, but I feel bad for doing it because we got no service. My advice to management: train your staff. Do not allow staff to hang out off shift around the bar and gaming area and drink alcohol and distract all the other staff. Whenever a person sits down to eat, they need menus and silverware. I have never sat down at this restaurant and gotten silverware. I have always had to ask for it. Maybe start hiring some people that have service experience. I really want this place to succeed, but it can’t do so when there are literally no adults working the bar area. It’s a bunch of teenagers who don’t know what they’re doing, are so blatantly oblivious, and there is no manager in sight directing anything. I even saw clearly two highschoolers trying to order alcohol at the bar. The bartender should have warned the manager that they were attempting to do something illegal, but the bartender just asked for their IDs and when they couldn’t provide them, said no. I would be concerned that these types of things happen often at this restaurant. This restaurant needs: competent staff...
Read moreMy family and I had dinner at 54 tonight to celebrate my mom’s birthday, which falls on valentine’s day so it was understandably busy. We previously booked one of the game bays for 6-7 pm using a QR code, had a confirmation email, and showed up on time. Another party also reserved the bay for the same time, they also had a confirmation email and showed up early. Our party’s name was not in the system , and we spent 12 minutes figuring out what to do. The staff member helping us allowed us to use another bay until 7 when another party would show up and also gave us a $10 discount on the appetizers we ordered. Kudos to them for doing the best they could in the stressful situation, still sucks that their system doesn’t seem to be functioning properly.
At 6:15, we got added to the waitlist . We were told that we would be seated in under an hour. Great because we were having to leave the gaming bay 45 mins from then. An hour later , we checked on our spot and were told it would be another 15-20 mins. We were not sat for another 50 minutes. It’s understandable that it was busy , but telling customers it’ll be under an hour for seating when in reality it’s over two hours doesn’t set guests up for a pleasant experience.
Once we were seated, we were not supplied with silverware condiments or napkins until requested, and even then the wait on all of those items was irritating .
I understand the restaurant has been open for a short time, but some practices should be a baseline expectation at a pricey spot : double booking , providing silverware , providing accurate wait times , and attentive service .
Our waitress Molly was super sweet and was working amazingly under the pressure of a valentine’s day dinner rush ! The staff member that offered us our discount was also a pleasure .
But at the end of the day , we got there at 6 , got seated late , and stayed until almost 9 where we took our food togo to avoid any other stress . Staff was great , but too many system and training mistakes to leave a...
