Auntie Anne's/Jamba — Restaurant in Chadds Ford Township

Horrible customer service! I placed a mobile order around 7pm on a Wednesday, order was received as said it would be ready by 7:15. Got there around 7:05 and the place was closed. No problem, places are short staffed, I’ll be in the shopping center the next day so I’ll just get my order then since the app already took my money. When I walked in to explain to the lady there what happened she said “oh sorry, I saw that and threw it out, what did you order?” So she saw my order that morning and didn’t think to call me or anything? I told her what I had ordered but forgot to mention the size. She grabbed what she already had made and after telling her it was suppose to be the larger size she said “I don’t have any made so I will just need to give you a different pretzel” what happened to making another batch fresh? She treated me like I was an inconvenience to her and I was the only one in the store. I wasn’t asking for anything for free, just what I ordered and what I got was basically the wrong order along with pretzels that seemed hours old.

The kicker here is I walked down to Panera to order a coffee right after this encounter. They were a bit backed up with latte orders so the guy gave me a free pastry for having to wait a minute or two extra. Watching these two completely different examples of customer service back to back made me realize what happened here was even worse. I filled out their online survey they sent me and someone reached out and basically said “sorry for what happened, I talked to my staff, here is a free pretzel” Although I appreciate the offer, I won’t be returning to this...

Personally, every time I come to this stand alone Auntie Anne's the pretzel never taste fresh to me. At least the cinnamon pretzels don't. I recently went into this location last week and upon entering in when I got to the register I requested if I could have a fresh cinnamon pretzel made. the person notified me I would get one, but when I got down to the opposite end to get my pretzel, when I touched it, it felt stale. So because I wasn't satisfied I talked to the woman who made my pretzel and told her I just feel like every time I come in here the cinnamon pretzels are never fresh. She told me she had just took them out 10 minutes prior and I understood that, but fresh means "hot", not room temperature, not cold, fresh. She did make me a fresh one which I truly appreciate but I know I was being talked about amongst her and her coworkers which doesn't really bother me because I am tired of settling for less. I get Anne pretzels a lot from different stand alone ones and that is the only one when I go to get a cinnamon pretzel, it always taste either like they were cooked to long or not fresh. I wasn't trying to be offensive but just from a constant customer experience I have when I got into this one. Even when I've been to others and the cinnamon pretzels may have been sitting for a few minutes, they still tasted fresh. So I truly meant no harm, but I just know from now on, so I don't have to feel like I'm being an annoyance to the workers in this store, I just won't be going back to this specific location. Service is always horrible. The dough of the pretzels are always inconsistent. The wait time usually goes from minimal to longer. I kept trying to patronize them giving them an opportunity to get it right. Tonight (11/20/23) was the last visit. The lemonade I purchased was not the usual fresh squeezed lemonade with the pulp auntie Ann’s usually serve. I watched the servers totally ignore people who have waited 10 minutes or more to be waited on. Although the patrons made it clear they didn’t realize you place your order at the cash register further down after walking past them to place my lemonade order, the team still did not acknowledge them at all to the point they walked out. How is it these people had been in there when I rode by to pick up another order at a different establishment and come back and no one bothered to wait on them to take their order.
