Ok so bare with me and please read before judging. So the host was kinda rude she may not know she was but she seemed high tempered got ignorant on the head set kinda yelling for two people to seat us as if we were a burden. No smile no how are you or good evening.. I figured after that it was all going to get worse I knew it! But no it wasn’t our waiter was this tall dark handsome man who was patient and kind and very attentive he knew we had our hands full we had three kids one who was screaming off and on. We got the salad breadsticks two apps one was fried mozzarella and other was lasagna something and husband got calamari we all ordered food and it was great start to finish. Got food tasted amazing!! You guys did great. Sadly my husband wound up getting sick since he was thee only one to eat the calamari now I don’t 110% believe that was it and we told the manager ASAP the next day who was and is concerned because obviously that’s not a good thing. The manager was very nice she listened and even gave us a gift card which btw you didn’t have to do and it wasn’t expected. But I thank you for just listening and not being rude or blaming us as if it wasn’t at all possible the food. I love how they handled it. Just so the manager knows if she reads this he’s doing well still having small issues but is just fine all day he’s been just nauseous and that other thing we discussed but so far he’s A okay! I always enjoy this place and I will be back but maybe not for the calamari.
Thanks to everyone here keep up the good job! Who ever our waiter was on 12/15 around 8:45-9pm needs a raise he is good at what he does and...
Read moreThis Olive Garden is in a restaurant row on the southbound side of Concord Pike. If you're going northbound, left-turn access is via a traffic light intersection at the start of the restaurant row. I've been to this restaurant row a number of times and I've never had a problem with parking. Even at peak dining hours, you can always find a parking space at the far edge of the lot and because of the size and shape of the lot, there's not a single spot here that is too long of a walk from the restaurant.
I must confess I haven't been to an Olive Garden for quite a long time, not because I didn't like it but because I'd assumed it was too upscale for me. However, they send out coupons and I noticed that their "pronto" lunch menu is reasonably priced. Service was fantastic. My server was super-attentive, paced the meal nicely, and anticipated some of my requests. I had the unlimited salad, but the initial salad bowl was so huge that I didn't need to ask for a second helping. The veggies seemed fresh and crisp. I only wish there was a choice of dressing other than Italian. The pumpkin cheesecake was very good too. The only part of the meal that I thought was mediocre was the main entree itself. I didn't think the Italian meatball breadstick sandwich was that great, although I'm not sure if I should have expected any better.
Anyway, this restaurant turned out better than I thought and is worth a revisit, although perhaps I'll wait until after renovations are complete. The exterior looks rather unfinished now, although construction didn't seem to affect the...
Read moreWe've been regular customers of Olive Garden and we go there at least once every month. Our family really enjoys the minestrone soup and breadsticks and we have never really had a bad experience before this.
So, our waitress, Megan, appeared friendly and we saw her at the front desk when we checked in. We got salad and minestrone soup along with the main entrees and appetizers. As I brought my whole family along with grandparents, we had them have soup along with us. The waitress apparently didn't like us sharing food. We had only one refill of the soup and we didn't even get a refill for salad. Normally, minestrone soup is refilled more than one time even if it is just one person eating it by themselves. Megan didn't even bother to ask us whether we wanted dessert and we wanted to get tiramisu. Though she did bring all the food pretty quickly and the food in the way we had requested. But, she just hurriedly placed the check on the table. We were surprised to see she charged us for both the soup refills while Olive Garden prides itself and lures customers for its "unlimited" soup. Who would have thought you would have to pay extra for every refill of "unlimited" soup.
When we brought up the overcharge issue, she sent the manager to talk to us. He wasn't anymore helpful than she was. He kept interrupting and did not even make an effort to help when we told him we were regular Olive Garden customers. This was a very unsatisfactory experience and we will not go back to the Talleyville, Delaware Olive...
