Cashier let cooks know my order for door dash was here i waited by the pass out food window. Waited a few minutes, a cook asked me what did i have and i explained my order and that it was from door dash he said did i sign the receipt i said yes. He said nothing else and continued to work. Long lines after me formed of people ordering their food and every single one of them got their order. I thought it was odd because i ordered way before i got there and maybe got there 7minutes earlier than when my food was supposed to be ready which was at 8:13. I waited long after that. Like i explained everyone waiting in the long line after me got there food first. The cooks were trying to move so fast they messed up a women’s order twice. And then finally the same cooked asked me again what did i have and if they gave me a ticket. I explained my order again and then said no they didn’t give me a ticket. Another cook asked me where did my order come from; DoorDash. He then grabbed a big bag that had been sitting up on a shelf. This whole time my food was ready, been ready before i even got there. I know this because i noticed the big bag when i walked in, searching to see if mine could possibly be up there. Also i was watching them make food the whole time while i was waiting. Bad communication? Bad understanding? I spoke English and clear Spanish to the cook as he spoke clear English and Spanish to me. Stop trying to move more faster than what you can so this doesn’t happen. My food was cold. What am i going to do? Ask them to remake a 40$ order over? My family was waiting a good while for me to get back with what they wanted also why i didn’t ask for a refund. Then to get home and see the food, Wow. Papas con queso costs almost 6$ and they gave me half a cup of cheese with less than a hand full of fries. I ordered two chicken flautas. Gave me one chicken and one beef. Luckily my husband was willing to eat the beef cause i was definitely was fed up and about to call the store. Three stars because I’ve had more good orders than bad. And those few bad times have been when I’ve ordered through doordash. Better to just order there and wait the long...
Read moreThe serving portions are like what I see in my dad’s little home town in Mexico (low protein to reduce cost lots of bread and onions)
Service: 5 stars
Agua de horchata: 5 stars. I could easily see this becoming a favorite
Torta de pollo empanizado (breaded chicken): 1 star. I was so so so incredibly disappointed in this sandwich and I was starving when I picked it up so... my standards weren’t very high at that time lol. I was mostly disappointed in the star of the show, the chicken! The edges were burnt, the chicken was beat so thin that when they cooked it the resulting product was like chewing on chicken jerky. I’ve attached a photo of the chicken. It’s on the bottom... kind of hard to even see.
I would have loved to pay more for a decent sandwich. Based on other reviews it looks like the quality has decreased all the way around (the last burrito photo I saw was pretty sad). I ended up taking this home, throwing away the “chicken”, and added deli meat to salvage the sandwich. Even then the bread didn’t seem all that fresh and they went heavy on the onions but the rear of the ingredients were scarce. I wanted to love this place but sadly didn’t have a great first experience.
The hunt for a good torta is...
Read moreRead moreSoooo glad my friend and I stopped by. Not going to lie I was skeptical of giving this place a try because I’ve had food at two of the other locations and they were very mediocre. However, this location is DELICIOUS!! Hands down some of the best barbacoa tacos ever. The meat was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. And they weren’t skimpy either. I ended up getting a barbacoa burrito togo because it was that good. And again they PACKED it with meat. I would skip the asada/bistec tacos though. They lacked flavor and were dry imo. My friend had the al pastor tacos and she said this is the best taco she’s had since Mexico. The agua de mango was decent. They also have a good selection of salsa (green creamy salsa is my fav!!), crema, and toppings. On top of all that! They’re super affordable (in inflation terms lol) in comparison to a lot of place. 3 tacos + agua de mango was $12 bucks!! The burrito was $8!! The cashier was nice and spoke a little English. She tried her best which I appreciated. So bring your manners if you decide to visit!! All in all, I love this place!! And it’s not too far from me either. Fingers crossed they’re on Ubereats .
