This place right here!!. This will be your last stop for Mexican food here in Chandler because it's definitely the best in the area.
After moving here from SoCal where I had my local favorites from growing up, this place is right up there. Nothing compares, especially those big places like sumburros where I never seen a Hispanic person eating there or Nando's. The food here taste delicious, has seasoning. Can taste the green chili, red chili, and the enchiladas! They asked if I wanted a taco too and got chicken. IT WASN'T DRIED OUT. It was fresh, and tender.
The green chili burrito was phenomenal. The tortilla was great, the sauce was excellent and the meat was awesome. Wasn't a dried out flavorless burrito, didn't have weird chunks of fat, bone, or chewy nonsense. Just straight up shredded meat and the sauce. I added beans to my burrito and the beans had flavor.
I can't believe I finally found a spot for Mexican food that's actually good. Don't forget to grab your salsas in the bowl on the counter.
I tried countless places here in town, Los favritos with it's TOUGH small CHUNKY HARD pieces of meat in their Chile Verde Burritos, sumburros with their dried out lake bottom residue Burritos. And many others. Espo's is by far the most tasteful, flavorful, and best here in town.
It's a little place so try not to drive past it as its kind of hidden but oh is it a gem. I'm glad we have a good place to eat here now. Thank you. The cook is doing a great job back...
Read moreDespite Arizona being quite close to Mexico, it is actually quite difficult to find tasty and quality Mexican food here in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Actually moved from Portland Oregon to the valley and it was possible to find some quality Mexican restaurants there. But portland is a foodie town, the Phoenix metro is not. Me and my coworkers went here today and enjoyed a good meal. I would say for the price the quality is a good matchup. I have been to three other dearly rated Mexican restaurants in the Glendale area of North Phoenix and all of them were not good. This one was actually good and it was recommended by some coworkers that live in the Chandler area. I got the street tacos with corn tortilla and shredded beef and shredded chicken, it was pretty good. One suggestion that I would make is that they should have Cotija cheese made available. I always like eating Mexican food with Cotija cheese and they don’t have that so I was pretty bummed out, but the tacos were still great aunt had a good amount of meat for the money. Chips and salsa was good as well. I didn’t care for the refried beans. I guess the rice was okay. It would be nice if they offered quality black beans. I would be willing to pay a little bit more money to have black beans. Overall it’s a good Mexican spot in a Chandler area and if I’m ever in the area again I will definitely check it out. Me and my coworkers had a great time. They also have ample...
Read moreI'm from the east coast and this is the first time I've had mexican food over here (that's not part of a chain). Keep in mind this review is tailored for others from the east coast and who are used to the higher quality of food over there. I went to this place because they seem very popular with the locals. I'll start with their chips and queso. The chips were burned and the queso is NOT like the queso blanco we know and love. This is a lot more like that cheap nacho cheese deep you get in the chip section at the store. The hard shell tacos were so greasy from all of the meat that they were soft. They don't use the white shredded cheese. It's more like the cheese from taco bell and you can barely taste that and the lettuce because of all the meat (I don't eat tomatoes so I ordered them without). The quesadillas were like soup on the inside. We got both the green and red chili. They tasted artificially flavored (one of them was even colored red on the inside) so I only took a couple of bites before I had enough. The only good thing about them was the shell. The price was over 50 bucks when I'm used to only spending half that for much higher quality / more savory food (and about the same quantity). I ended up leaving hungry and I will definitely never go back here. I was honestly surprised the quality was so much worse being this much closer to Mexico...
