Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Chandler

This afternoon I had decided to drive a couple blocks down from my job for lunch to JD, but I only had JD prior as catering - I've never went inside and ordered for myself - until today.

Service was exceptional although I took it as carry-out. However, the staff was sooo NICE. My cashier today was 'JACKIE' , I owe her some recognition, she was very polite, kind, and very patient with me. It's refreshing to actually experience some amazing customer service during this time-period. It's so rare these days, well at least for myself.

But needless to say, I ordered the Manager's Special: SPICY SEAFOOD GUMBO, with half sand. of the Hot Corned Beef on white, including a chip.

Gumbo: 5/5 - This is probably the BEST gumbo I've ever had from a national chain. It's unbelievable how AMAZINNNNG this soup is and how homemade it tastes, blew my socks away, LOL NO JOKE!

Corned Beef Sand. (made Chicago style): TBA/5

Gumbo cup was so filling I didn't get a chance to eat the sandwich yet, but considering how the gumbo tastes, I'm sure it will be just as great.

Feedback: the sign regarding your current special (turkey, sweet potato bread sandwich) is placed in a spot you won't notice until you've already checked out. I was to thank whoever quickly changed my order to that sandwich when I noticed it 😂 because that sandwich was so good. Even leftover it was still awesome! Also, the manager special part of the menu is very confusing. It took two trips to Jason's deli but I understood it. I highly recommend data menu is edited to make it easier to understand. It should be read from left to right. Like this: #1 pick your half sandwich. With the price difference between specialty sandwich and famous sandwich. Then #2 choose your included side. Then #3 add a side salad (one trip to salad bar). The way it reads, you will think the salad bar is included. And then once you notice that it says "upgrade to side salad" you will then think that you don't get a side included. That your side becomes the side salad. I would say it's one of the most difficult menus I've ever read at a restaurant. I'm sure all of your customers are very very very very confused when...

I love Jason's Deli so whenever there's one where I'm traveling, I will go out of my way to eat there if I have to. I always get the muffuletta since it's so rare that I get to dine here. It's large, so I usually opt for the 1/2, sometimes the 1/4. And I usually choose the ham and salami but sometimes get the turkey.

This location was very nice. We went a little later, around 7:30PM, and had placed an online pickup order. When we arrived there was only one other patron and our order wasn't quite ready so we sat to wait. As soon as the cashier was free, he let us know that the tomato soup we ordered wasn't available and was very apologetic and accommodating. We were able to easily remedy the problem and he was extremely friendly and helpful.

We took our food and met a friend and it was all quite good, though the grilled cheese my husband ordered was a little small so just fyi, if you get the grilled cheese id recommend doing a salad or something in addition.

I highly recommend any Jason's Deli, and this one met my expectations and made me miss it even more since they don't exist...
