after visiting the lovely cat tales cafe around the corner, i was thirsty and wanted a drink. i walked around the corner and saw signs of “best drinks this way.”

as i sat down on the stool by the entrance, i listened in on the conversation between the customer and the employee. they asked for certain items on the menu but they didn’t have the ingredients to make them. the employee said “i can make you toast with bacon…” they weren’t interested.

i waited about 10 minutes for a salted caramel mocha. turns out they also didn’t have caramel so i got the vanilla instead. when the order was being prepared the employee was frantically dropping cups, running around and wiping dripping sweat from his face.

once i got my order, it was incorrect. it was missing the mocha, the main ingredient in the drink... had to wait 5 minutes to get that fixed. i then waited about another 5 minutes to pay. a women there before me received her drink and didn’t get charged for it until after me.

when i sat outside the cat cafe, i saw the women who were in Saturni. they took a sip from their matcha and smoothies then threw out their drinks. not even getting a quarter of the way through it. they said it was awful. i took a sip of mine and was equally disgusted and disappointed.

the staff did not appear prepared, there was a chair in the middle of the kitchen in the way, and the service was not good.

i will not be back and if i could give them 0...

I ordered online for pickup at around 1:20 and was given a pickup time of 1:45. I received an email with a confirmation number and the money was taken from my card. I arrived at the store for my order at 1:50 to find all the lights off and a closed sign on the door. I was charged for food I never received and there was no option in my confirmation email or the company website to request a refund or file a complaint so I came to Google. If you’re not going to be open please make that explicit and turn off online ordering so you don’t steal peoples money. This is the second time this has happened and after the first time you said it was an error with the system but I know now that you just don’t commit to your posted hours. This is really disappointing because the food tastes great and now that i’m living in the area again I would have loved to become a regular. Please reach out to me so that I can get my money back. The food and atmosphere are top-tier at Saturni. I've tried the Cordon Bleu and a few other sandwiches, along with their cookies and coffee which is well brewed. in the evenings the courtyard is wonderful, and the inside atmosphere is uplifting.

But the kicker is that Saturni is owned, staffed and run by a wonderful family. They're incredibly kind and giving, offering a slice of homemade food for a great price. As an example, when buying a cookie today they even offered to heat it up before I left. This was a small act of kindness but it did not go unnoticed.
