Went for lunch, second time coming here overall. Got the Old Well White on draft, jalapeƱo hush puppies for a nibble before the main course, the Thai Seared Tuna Salad. Service was fast. Beer and hushpuppies were out within minutes and boy did I need that today. The hushpuppies were perfect. Definitely shareable. Meatball-sized, soft, sweet and savory center. Perfectly browned, crunchy exterior. Idk what the dipping sauce was, but I tasted a hint of wasabi and I wouldāve eaten just that by itself. The star of the meal was the salad, and the main reason I came back a second time. It was one of the tastiest salads Iāve ever had and wanted to see if itād be just as good the second time. It didnāt disappoint. Four large slices of seared tuna. Mixed leaf lettuces. Crunchy fried onions. Nuts. And some kind of wasabi dressing that wasnāt the same as the dipping sauce, but damn was it delicious too. It was refreshing as a refreshing salad without a bunch of fresh fruit on it can be. It also may not be the healthiest salad when adding the fried onions and sauces/dressings, but it hit the spot yet again. And this is why Iāll be coming backā¦.yet again.

We were really excited to come eat here for our anniversary. We ended up changing our reservation time & then going to the wrong place & being late anyways. The hosts were so nice about it and worked with us, saving our table so that was really nice. We sat down on the patio and the view was beautiful. We then waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, which only happened after we had to stop the host and tell her weād been waiting for a while. Our server told us he was training and apologized. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks were good and the Thai tuna salad was delicious. By the time our dinner got served we were sharing one water glass. We ordered our entrees, my boyfriend got the grit cakes with shrimp and I got the New York strip with melted bleu cheese crumbles medium rare. His plate was delicious. Mine came out with a large piece of melted cheddar sitting on top of my $29 steak. I peeled the cheese off of it, told my server that it was fine, and ate it how it was. The steak was cooked to temperature perfectly but without bleu cheese, or mashed potatoes, was entirely bland. It tasted as if it hadnāt been seasoned with even salt and pepper. I was really disappointed. Who has ever in their life ordered a steak with melted cheddar on top of it. That was literally ridiculous. That on top of being neglected for the first 10 minutes of our dining experience, and eating such an expensive beautiful cut of meat that was seasoned so terribly, really ruined our experience. There was potential but we were overall disappointed and couldnāt wait to get out of there. If this really was a trainee, where was his trainer. He was very nice but certainly could have used some guidance.

The top of the hill Restaurant & Brewery is a great place for a relaxing lunch. We were there on a Thursday afternoon so it was virtually empty but there is outside seating with a very chill vibe. The girlfriend loves beer and this place has several choices including her favorite ipas. This was our first stop so I just had a Jack and Coke but we shared a full pound of chicken nuggets which came with cucumber and tomatoes and different sauces. We like spicy so the buffalo sauce was our favorite but there's also a Thai spicy sriracha sauce that was our second favorite. I'm sure this would be a really happening place during evenings and weekends but for us on a Thursday afternoon it was relaxing and quiet. Definitely recommended.

I had a blast last night at Top of the Hill off Franklin! Or maybe it was my date? š To start the night off, we order two fabulous Patron shots (with salt on the rim, of course). We then proceeded to order coke nā rum (well-prepared) in addition to a fancy alcoholic beverage. One of the bartenders designed it himself. I donāt recall the name- it contained coffee, chocolate, whipped cream in addition to other constituents (sorry, no cherry on top). It was fantastic! š For entrĆ©es, I selected the French Quarter Jambalaya. Pretty good! I was able to have a sample of my dateās dish, the Topo Whiskey & Coke Braised Beef. That one was very good! Overall, great experience, pleasant environment and friendly people! š

Top of the Hill! I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed myself here!! Our server was Cesare and he was so friendly and kind and very accommodating with great recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. The āthumbs and toesā was probably the best bbq chicken chunks Iāve ever had. And luckily we came in when their special of the day was true bbq brisket sandwich topped with cole slaw. It was so good that I cannot believe itās not a menu staple. My God. We even ordered an extra side of brisket just because it was so tender and juicy. It sucks that I donāt live in North Carolina, otherwise I would 100% be in here every weekend for the great food, friendly staff, and chill vibes with a great view.
