The appeal of this breakfast location was the high ratings on Google. The food is great, but there is improvements to be made on their staff and drinks. For instance, the bald haired gentleman that took our information to seat us was incredibly rude. I asked a simple question about the bar because we were a group of 4 and there was a couple that had just sat down and he rudely stated "Well there aren't any bar seating available for 4 guests". I responded with "Well maybe we can ask that couple since they haven't been served yet, if they wouldn't mind moving two seats over?" He said firmly and rudely "We don't ask people to move" and I responded with "I can understand the reason to not ask them if they have been served, but they don't don't have menus yet. What if I kindly asked them and see if they would be okay with it" he said "No, we don't ask people to move". Instead of accommodating this simple request, we still waited 20 minutes to be sat.

The energy of the staff here is DULL. They look MISERABLE. I have a feeling that the gentleman was the manager and you can tell the influence he has on the staff.

I ordered a mimosa that was listed as 'freshly squeezed' and it was anything BUT that. The presentation was terrible.. There was a nasty powder residue in the glass that will never be left by fresh orange juice with the champagne. When we presented this to the attention of our waitress (whose name we never caught because she failed to properly introduce herself) she was adamant that it was fresh. I challenged her and stated that no freshly squeezed orange juice leave a residue like that on the glass. It tasted like they used tang powder and whisked it with champagne. The taste was horrible. I took a glance around the restaurant to see how other drinks were being made and I was disappointed. Bloody Mary wasn't mixed well and it didn't look appealing.

The food is alright, nothing crazy. But improvements MUST be made on the quality of the staff and the drinks. The energy in this place was terrible and it was a waste of a $90 breakfast.

If you're looking for something quick, this would suffice. If you're looking for quality atmosphere and drinks,...

"Big" not so much, "Bad" definitely. Portions were mediocre, quality was sub-par, service was definitely horrible. I ordered the "French toast" there were 4 halves of barely battered, badly bruleed bread. Wimpy excuse for whipped cream and skimpy on the strawberries. I believe there was 1 tablespoon of whipped cream and a half of a strawberry. There was still raw sugar dumped on top that wasn't touched by the Brule torch so it made the toast crunchy. I opted out of the protein option and instead wanted fresh fruit. I was given a small 1/3 cup of grapes in which the last 4 in the bowl were rotten. I like grapes but if you market it as fresh fruit , please actually be fresh and not just one type of fruit. Moving on to the coffee. $3.45 for diner coffee is absurd but I would let that slide if it weren't burnt and old. Simple as that. As for the service, we were sat at 11:35, ordered within 5 minutes got our coffee and water and our waitress didn't check back up on us till 40 minutes later when she finally arrived with our food, furthermore didnt check on us till time to bring us our receipt. I had to ask another waitress to bring us some more creamer for the badly burnt coffee. All in all, don't waste your time. One and a half hours of my life I...

My fiance and I wanted to try BBB as we had heard wonderful things. When we arrived there was about an hour wait, which we had no problem waiting for, however, during the entire wait there were consistently about 5-7 tables open and servers moving at a glacial pace. We decided that they were just short staffed for servers so it was no biggie and we continued to wait. We ended up being able to snag some spots at the bar so we decided to dine there. The bartender that took care of us was extremely nice. After about 45 minutes we saw our food dying in the window as there was no one expo-ing. There were also few tickets on the screen so we didn't understand why it took so long with only 5-6 open tickets of 3-4 dishes. Kitchen staff called for hands and a server went over to the window and moved things around but a plate didn't go out for another 6 minutes. After staring at our food for about 10 minutes it was brought to us and was very underwhelming. The biscuit was great but everything else was mediocre. I want to chalk our experience up to them being very understaffed but all in all we won't go back and wouldn't recommend...

We chose to take a late summer vacation somewhere and chose Charleston for location, culture and history. When we arrived the first morning before noon, our hotel room wasn’t ready. Where to go for breakfast? We found BBB via another app. and decided to give it a go. No regrets! When I visit the south, I gotta have biscuits and gravy. Nowhere are they better. BBB did not disappoint. The service is excellent, and being able to have a meal on the patio while Charleston life buzzes on a Friday morning. The Missus had the Creole omlette which complimented the great coffee. In the couple of days while we enjoyed Charleston we tried a few other breakfast places, even as far away as Folly Beach, but like moth's to a light we were always drawn back to BBB. The next couple of visits were tough to get a table, but hey, it's the weekend and the staff did a great job of getting us seated as quick as possible. That time we had the steak and eggs while my wife had the Redneck Benny. I wish I took more pic's of the food, but I guarantee that whatever you choose, you're going to enjoy it and not leave here hungry for more.
