Make sure you are checking the prices! They tried to jip us! The rude girl tried to charge us $8.50 for one scoop when the board clearly says $8.50 for two scoops. When we questioned it, she gave us major attitude and said only a baby scoop is less when that’s not what the listed prices say. Nowhere on the board mentions anything about a baby scoop. She was very argumentative and unpleasant. I wouldn’t mind paying $8.50 for good gelato but not when I didn’t get two scoops and that’s not what was ordered. Didn’t make any sense and very bizarre situation. She did end up adjusting the price to the one scoop price we ordered but she rolled her eyes and had a major attitude. She may be trying to take advantage of tourists but we’re locals. I wonder how many people she is overcharging and they just don’t notice. Bad business practices overall. Too many other good options in charleston that care for their customers. We...

I am a BIG fan of ice cream and gelato. I have tried so many of them around the world, and I can say the quality of this gelato is OUTSTANDING. I have to tell that yes, you can compare some flavors like some chocolates with another high end, artisanal gelato brands, but please do not tell that FREDDO tastes like any other because IT DOES NOT! I am sorry ! And last but not least, DULCE DE LECHE!!!!!!! What a miracle. No one has it in the STATES, even if they try to make it as Haagen Dazs, no one can make it as the original recipe made in Argentina and brought to the States by FREDDO. So, if you want to try the REAL DULCE DE LECHE flavor,...

Hands down the BEST Empanadas I had since I visited Argentina! 🇦🇷 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is incredible, the Gelato 🍧 is authentic and so flavorful. Every time I visit I make sure I grab some of those delicious Alfajores! ( they are cornstarch cookies filled with creamy Dulce de leche ) just yummy 😋

It’s a great little spot in king street across from Louis Vuitton, great atmosphere and awesome customer service, the people that work there are very nice and super friendly! Don’t be shy to ask any questions they are always happy to help you out. Every time I visit they make me feel like home.

Give this place a try, it will...

[Empanada review] Overall: Airport-quality empanadas for a premium price. The good: The empanadas were flaky and buttery, and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and quick. The not-so-good: The empanadas were almost completely empty instead of packed with filling. The flavors were dull and uninspiring, and they certainly weren't warm. I've never been more disappointed eating an emapanada than I did with Freddo. Their milkshakes and gelato look good, but I doubt we'll be back.

So I’m a local. I ran in for a quick coffee and decided to get an empanada. The chorizo empanada didn’t taste like chorizo. Actually there was nothing in it except a little bit of cheese. I thought it was going to be just meat. The coffee was delicious. The couple who ordered after me was asked if they wanted a sauce with their empanadas. I didn’t get asked that. I didn’t even know they had sauce. Not sure if I’ll make it back there again.
