Henrietta's at The Dewberry — Restaurant in Charleston

The food here was ok, but the service was horrible. We had to wait quite some time before anyone even aknowledged us at the hostess stand, and then once seated, the waitress never came back. I had to walk to the hostess stand and ask for someone to please come take our order. After we placed our order, one of the party's entrée came out 25 minutes before the other diner in the party. That diner was finished with her meal before before the other received their entrée. There were many other flaws with our service that I won't even waste my time describing, but I would absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food, Service and Atmosphere are all impressive.

While the interior at the Dewberry is clearly stunning, I wasn't sure what to expect from the food. I hadn't heard much about it so I put off trying it until the other day. The convenience of parking nearby got us in the door. Each member of the staff was helpful and friendly.

The Sherry Cobbler cocktail I had was one of my favorites in recent memory and not too strong for lunch. The kitchen went out of their way to make a dish vegetarian friendly for my mother, while I still got to try their linguiça sausage, which was so flavorful. My mother and I both remarked that the gnocchi were the lightest we've ever tasted.

Perfection in restaurant form! I don't even know how to put into words how amazing this restaurant is! My best friend hosted her wedding dinner here and everything was flawless! The decorations, the food, the service, the pre-wedding discussions with the chef Michael, manager Chris, every part of this restaurant...every single thing was perfect! We also ended up going there for breakfast the next morning and it was again fabulous! I wish I lived in Charleston so that I can make this my go-to restaurant.
