I have been going here for years and have always had good customer service here but when I went in tonight I was argued with and made uncomfortable by the male manager and a male employee and I will NEVER COME BACK to this location. Off the bat when I walked in, the two male employees looked at me and then each other and started to snicker and laugh, already making feel uneasy. I thrn ordered a standard and they gave me the smallest scoops- I was out with friends and compared to sizes mine was very small to theirs. I addressed the person checking me out who spooked mine and they argued with me saying it was the standard and if I didn’t want it I could pay for something else. I have worked at an icecream shop and I know the difference and as already previously stated- my friend’s scoops were much larger than mine. I called to talk to thd manager and he also argued with me, stating that that was the standard and that they were not in the wrong. I was shocked by his tone and bluntness and his following statement, “You can just get something else” in the same tone. I’m disappointed that Jeni’s were hire such rude young men that would be so disrespectful to another young adult. They lost a loyal customer and future...
Read moreWhile waiting outside to enter (only 2 parties allowed inside at a time) a whole family with no masks took up 2.5 social distance line spots to eat their ice cream, leaving the line to either crunch together or stand in the street. When I mentioned this inside, the lady just laughed and said yep. On the menu, it listed special flavors: Sweet Cream Biscuits with Peach Jam
I ordered the smallest Sweet Cream they had and left a 60% tip, but because it was a little busy outside, left my mask on until reaching our hotel, so I did not eat any. After tasting it and being appalled, by both the flavor itself and the shock of it NOT being Sweet Cream, I looked up their menu online. It's actually Sweet Cream & Biscuits with Peach Jam - all one flavor. While this could be considered my mistake (hence 2 stars instead of 1), when I ordered "sweet cream" she only copied me saying "sweet cream" and did not clarify. In addition, there was plenty of space on the handwritten sign to finish the title. It felt like false advertising. Now I'm in my hotel, out $8 and have no ice cream. I do not recommend that flavor even if you DO know it's...
Read moreI recently came into Jeni's while on vacation with my friends and lets just say I am not impressed with my experience. When we first entered the shop we were greeted by the wonderful employees. The ice cream shop was hot which was pretty surprising since its an ice cream shop. The employees helped us try samples and describe the ice cream flavors to us and gave us recommendations. I could tell that the heat in the ice cream shop was affecting the employees and the ice cream! The ice cream was very melted and not very cold at all and honestly not very appealing. The employees could barely scoop it up because it had more of a consistency like water. Once we got our order and the ice cream just tasted spoiled. We unfortunately had to throw away the ice cream we just paid for. These terrible conditions could really make someone sick if they continue to let their ice cream get hot and melt. I also feel bad for the employees that had to work long shifts in this heat as well! You could tell it was definitely taking a toll on them. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place until they get the melted ice cream...
