I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but the service was so lackluster I felt compelled to share. I understand and respect the straightforward nature of European service—no need for over-the-top pleasantries. But what I experienced here went beyond that.
From the moment I walked in, the staff member (an Asian woman) looked visibly annoyed by my presence. I was told to “take a seat anywhere,” so I chose the nearest table—a table for four, even though I was dining alone. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other tables occupied in a large space. Still, she rolled her eyes at my choice. If seating preferences matter, don’t offer open seating.
Throughout the meal, there wasn’t a single smile or moment of warmth. I’m not expecting a parade, but basic courtesy goes a long way in hospitality. The food was average and I won’t have cared, but the service left a sour taste and takes one star away from the meal itself.
A group of 4 walked in as I was finishing my meal and she audibly grunted to the point one of them in the group heard it and went “someone’s not happy. I don’t get it, it’s empty”.

We are traveling from Orlando and going to Frederick and on our way we have a stay over at Charleston SC . We went to the beach on out way and ordered one Thai basil fried rice and one Thai fried rice with tofu and got it to go . We came to the hotel which we booked through booking and after charging $150 , we came to know that the place is a dump . Then we atleast looked forward for the food and when we opened it , we saw that that order didn't came right . And we didn't get the basil fried rice . So , we were already at a bad place and then this happened. My wife was furious and Called Thai Zapp. It was already 10 pm and we were 30 minutes away from the resturant . But I have to give 100% thanks and blessings to the staff in the resturant . They made our order , apologized and delivered the food to us by 11pm 30 minutes away . I hope your resturant do great, with such an amazing work ethic , you will be in my A+ resturant list for ever. Thanks Thai Zapp,...
Read moreLet me begin by expressing my delight and love for Thai cuisine. Having visited numerous Thai restaurants, I’ve encountered a few exceptional ones and many mediocre establishments. This is why I was astounded by the exceptional quality of the food at ThaiZapp. When dining at new Thai restaurants, I often order familiar dishes like Pad Thai or Cashew Chicken to facilitate comparisons with familiar culinary experiences. Because of its location in a bustling tourist district in Charleston, I didn’t have high expectations. However, the Cashew Chicken dish at ThaiZapp exceeded my expectations.
The aroma was captivating, and the presentation was impressive. But it was the taste that truly captivated me. The ingredients were of the highest quality, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I was so enamored with the dish that I politely requested the owner’s recipe. She kindly declined, explaining that it would take too much time to prepare. Despite this, I highly...
