It has been a little while since my last posting.... Life happens and we all get caught up and busy. With that said, what a great return experience. The staff was exceptional once again. The waiter was very attentive, and the busboy made sure to keep the Chips and Salsa filled. PS... great chips and salsa. If your life is busy as mine, make sure to spend quality time with those that arw important to you and enjoy a nice meal and surroundings to take time out. I hope my review is helpful and that you enjoy Azteca as much as we have. Thank you for reading my review. Please let me know if it is helpful. It has been quite some time since we visited Azteca Mexican Restaurant. We visited some time ago, as a large family group. When we, as a family, think of a nice Mexican dining experience, we have always looked to visit Azteca. This experience deserves recognition to Jorge. Jorge was our waiter and did an exceptional job. He was prompt in taking our drink orders and made surw that we had our fill of Chips & Salsa. He had patience with some of us who did not understand the menu items and what they included. When the food was ready, He promptly served each of us and made sure that we were happy with our selections. Throughout the meal? Jorge made sure to visit our table several times to keep our drinks filled. He would visit as each of us had completed our meals and removed the plates as needed. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very welcoming and nicely decorated. When it really comes down to it, it is the quality of service these individuals give. When visiting, I would highly recommend asking for Jorge as your server. It would be inconsiderate not to mention the cooks. They prepare and plate some fantastic and tasty dishes. Thank you, Team Azteca, for your wonderful service. We look forward to our next visit. I hope this review is...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed in Azteca for the way they handle my most recent take-out order. I have been a loyal returning customer since moving to Charlotte last year. Unfortunately I will no longer be giving them my business. We ordered some nachos, a shredded beef taco salad and a side order of rice and beans...upon pickup my boyfriend who left his wallet in our other vehicle without realizing asked if he could Apple Pay or give them card info to punch in - that wasn’t a possibility so he drove all the way back home to get his wallet, on the way back for the second time he called to ask if the order can be made with fresh chips/new taco shell since whenever we eat INSIDE the restaurant it usually comes out soggy due to all the meat juices...the connection was so horrible and they disconnected. When he arrived he asked THREE different people to change the chips/shell, someone said “it might be cold because of the lettuce but chips will be fine”, finally the manager says “let me go back and check” he walks from the bar, says everything is good and hands him our meal. Needless to say I couldn’t even pick up a chip and my taco salad was completely fallen apart and disintegrated. I called and asked what could be done since this could have been corrected the THREE times it was asked for while in the store..MANAGERS response is “you called an hour ago it’s going to be soggy”...but we asked for it to be remade for that exact reason, and was basically fooled into thinking it was when he handed the bag saying everything was good to go. Manager got extremely rude and defensive then HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and he said once you leave that it’s our loss. Then HUNG UP again. My receipt was time stamped at 7:25pm and I called to complain about food at 7:38 (I made 4 different calls because of the manager hang-ups). Disgusted with this management and...
Read moreWe probably will not ever return to this Azteca location even though we have been going there for several years. The service was extremely poor. Our waiter rolled his eyes at my daughter-in-law when she asked him for more salsa. He continued to have an attitude with us the whole meal. When it was time to pay the bill, the waiter did not give us a printed bill to review. Instead, he hovered over us with his hand-held device (upon which he had already given himself a 20% tip which we felt we could not change) and expected us to pay without being able to look at the charges. After we had paid, we were finally given the bill (as a receipt). It was only then that we discovered that we had been charged for an item that we did not receive. When we alerted the waiter to it and asked if we could be refunded the $9, the waiter told us that there was no way to give us a refund. Instead, he offered to give us a dessert of equivalent value ( which we had not planned to order). Rather than get nothing, we agreed to the dessert, but we then decided to speak with the manager. We explained the situation to the manager and expected him to handle it. Instead, he sent the waiter back over to give us the dessert. We called the manager over again and told him we didn't understand why they couldn't refund us the $9. The manager said that the waiter was wrong and that they could have. We told the manager that we had expected him to handle it instead of just sending the waiter, whom we no longer felt comfortable talking with anymore. We told the manager we would not be returning to this Azteca location, and we left. Once we were in the parking lot, the waiter came out and told my son that his manager was making him give us $8 cash which...
