Stepping into Forchetta felt like entering a scene from a Fellini film. The atmosphere was intoxicating – a symphony of twinkling lights, warm chatter, and the intoxicating aroma of garlic and simmering sauces. The ambience alone primed my palate for a culinary odyssey, and for the most part, it delivered. Edgar, our guide through this Italian wonderland, navigated the menu with charm and expertise. His recommendations were spot-on, and his attentiveness was as comforting as a warm hug. The food, oh the food, was a feast for the eyes. Each plate arrived like a still life painting – vibrant vegetables nestled against perfectly browned meats, all drizzled with glistening sauces. My only (minor) quibble? Temperature. The soup, a tantalizing medley of mushrooms and duck confit, was lukewarm at best, and the entrees, while beautifully presented, lacked that initial sizzle that truly elevates a dish. However, the skill and passion in the kitchen shone through. The meat was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the flavors sang a chorus of rich Italian tradition. The bar, meanwhile, was abuzz with life, a testament to Forchetta's ability to cater to both the romantic tête-à-tête and the boisterous gathering. So, would I return to Forchetta? Absolutely. The atmosphere remains unparalleled, the service as warm as a Tuscan sunset, and the food, with a little tweak on temperature, could be truly sublime. It's a place for lingering conversations, second glasses of wine, and dishes that, while not quite scorching, still hold the promise of a delicious Italian adventure.

My wife and I had a date night at Forchetta during restaurant week recently. We had a reservation for 7pm and arrived right on time. If you park in the parking deck where the restaurant is located they will validate your parking so you don't have to pay. Overall, we had a really good experience but a few things kept it from being great. First off, we were seated at the first table right when you walk in. It is next to the host stand and right at the door. This meant every time someone opened the door, you felt the cold air coming in. Also, since it was very crowded and people were standing around waiting for their table, it made it seem like those people were standing over top of you. My suggestion would be to do away with that table. Secondly, our server Thomas was really great. He explained the menu in detail and took care of us all night long. Since it was a prefixed menu, I went with the Caesar Salad, Green Tea Salmon and Bananas Foster Cheesecake. My wife chose the Beet Salad, Rigatoni and Flourless Chocolate cake. The salads came out quick and within a few minutes of finishing, the entrees came out and then the desserts shortly after. Everything we ate that evening was very good and tasted amazing. Our only complaint about the food was my wife had a fingerprint on her chocolate cake. It looked like someone put their finger on it to move it around the plate. She just cut that piece off and we shared the remaining piece of cake. We would definitely return again and try the entire menu since our service was great and the food tasted great!

I normally don’t eat at restaurants in hotels. Not sure why I developed that attitude, but there it is. But I was running late Sunday night and took the advice of the front desk team (hi JJ and Adraysa) to eat at Forchetta inside the Holiday Inn Center-City. (The large sign, announcing Chef Luca’s win on Food Network’s CHOPPED, also helped guide me in.) Dining solo sometimes lands me at the bar, but I prefer a table and was led to one immediately and without anything but the warmest welcome. Ibok was there quickly to remove the second place-setting and fill my water glass. Arturo was right behind her to answer any menu questions. I’d hoped for the Pappardell Pasta, but they were unable to make it that evening. Arturo offered to ask Chef if he’d be willing to make something similar. I am always up any time a Chef wants to improvise. The entrée he created was exceptional. I haven’t had seafood of that caliber in a long time, and I wish I could have ordered a bowl of the broth for later. It smelled incredible and tasted even better. I ate as much as I could and while full, I didn’t feel stuffed. A glass of the Montepuciano was a delightful accompaniment. Ibok and Arturo are an exceptional team. I felt watched over and cared for, and had I more time, I would have stayed for dessert. Thank you for a wonderful evening. I will be back.

I very rarely leave negative reviews but the service sitting at the bar was possibly the worst service I have ever received in my entire life leaving me to question if the bartenders were intoxicated or maybe today was their first day bartending anywhere.

I came in with a few friends around 930ish. The seating around the bar was full but I would not describe the place as busy. When the bartenders finally acknowledged my friends, they were incredibly rude, acted like my friend had lost her mind for ordering off the menu he gave her snatching it from her and giving her the late night menu and then leaving, a different bartender came back ten plus minutes later, took that menu from her and gave her the original one and demanded to know where she got it from. Despite politely trying to order, I wasn't even acknowledged once by the time my friend got her drink and food. When the bartender helped a couple down the bar from me 25+ minutes after I arrived, they insisted he help me next because I had been there first and not been helped the bartender snapped at them and said "I KNOW! TELL ME YOUR ORDER" When I was finally acknowledged the bartender refused to believe I only wanted a burger and not a beer (I shouldn't have to explain myself why I'm not drinking but I had a long drive home that night) I had to insist three times I only wanted a burger and a water and no alcohol. When it came time to pay the bartenders seemingly didn't ring anything in for either of my friends and spent an extraordinary amount of time giving my friends the third degree on what they ordered, mixing up their orders with other customers, getting distracted by other people ordering drinks and coming back and repeatedly questioning my friends on what they ordered so they could pay all while ignoring me also attempting to pay. My friends ultimately paid, I tried to hand the bartender my card to pay and he looked at me turned around and helped someone else. When he came back, instead of helping me, he accosted my friend insisting he hadn't yet paid and my friend had to show the bartender their BANK ACCOUNT with the charge on it to get the bartender to leave them alone. When I finally got the bartender's attention to pay, he asked me four distinct times if I was sure all I got was a burger and not anything to drink each time after he asked me he would turn around, while holding my credit card, and help another customer at the bar and then come back and ask me again. All in all it took me two full hours to order, eat, and pay for one overcooked hamburger. I've never experienced service like this in my entire life. Both of the bartenders were incredibly rude, and at best (giving them the benefit of the doubt here) inattentive and forgetful to me and my friends. I was polite and patient and will never go back to this restaurant ever again. I suggest avoiding this restaurant but if you must dine in to not sit at the bar...

Food was top notch and delicious, well-worth the wait. Only 4/5 stars given due to a few front of house shortcomings. It is clear they are understaffed, likely due to covid. I still highly recommend this place for a nice dinner date or special occasion. I will definitely make it back and hopefully be able to update my 4/5 to a full 5 stars in the future.

About my experience: We had a Saturday 7:30 reservation for 2 and the host told us we had about 15 minutes before our table would be ready. We waited at the bar for about an hour to be seated. The host started to seat another table that arrived well after us, but when we interrupted to say something, he responded saying that our table was also ready. Not sure if that was true, or just a correction on the fly. The other table definitely got the better window seat, so I can’t help but wonder. Not a deal breaker for me, but it did stick out in my experience.

The server was friendly and we ordered various items: Calamari, Vongole, Romana Caesar, rigatoni, & Branzino. One of the staff members came by later and asked us what we ordered (a bit odd for a higher scale restaurant in my opinion), just to check and see where our food was at and immediately returned with our starters. Half way through the meal an odd request was made to slide our table down to make room for a large table coming beside us (another reason I suspected the host made a correction on the fly to seat us, this seemed like poor planning). We were offered desert (and we accepted) for our trouble; so the front of house was definitely making an effort to compensate for some of the issues. I appreciated them acknowledging and providing a positive solution for our evening.

despite a few hiccups, I enjoyed my date night and dinner experience. I hope Forchetta can get the help they need soon; they have very delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is doing they’re best, but they clearly need a bit more help to execute the experience they are...

We had dinner at this restaurant on 01-11-2025 with a party of seven. Our experience with Forchetta was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in 37 years. The hostess staff was amazing, very sweet and happy to greet us at the time of arrival. We were seated right away and our waiter came to take our drink order. We waiting over an hour for our drinks. The manager felt bad for us and finally came and fixed the issue brining us drinks (three lemonades, one half and half tea, diet pepsi, one glass of house wine, and one beer. Once we finally placed our order, my daughters grill cheese came out completely burnt. It was black once it arrived to our table. A waitress passing our table saw what our waiter delivered and quickly came to fix the mistake. We order two orders of lobster rolls and one had a hair inside the roll. The lamb came out and was very good. The beef tips came out and looked like a charcoal nugget. After our nightmare of a dinner was over, we requested the bill. When the bill arrived, it was $50.00 over charged. There was a long island ice tea, a patron drink and a glass of wine that wasn’t ours. The entire experience was a nightmare. This was my first and last time eating at this restaurant but I would make sure some changes are made before selecting this as your dinner spot. It was a big disappointment because the menu looked amazing and the restaurant has the ability to be great but they have a lot of work to do starting from the ground up. All of the staff was very pleasant to talk with and very sorry about everything happening. They told us our experience shouldn’t of...
