Pains me here, but it is about time because the takeout process is completely different than the eat-in experience. It is like the tale of two worlds. The eat-in experience is great. Attentive service, clean, bright, friendly and good value on food (especially lunch). The takeout process is brutally inconsistent. The portions are smaller to where the "value" no longer exists (actually very expensive for what it is). They are constantly screwing up the order in forgetting dishes, incomplete dishes, "splitting dishes" such as a Greek Chicken Salad and dividing the chicken say for 1 between 2. A Greek Chicken Salad is in excess of $19 to where they even skimp on the feta compared to the dine in experience. We are close as an office and order often (both dine-in and take-out). 4 out of 5 times on the take-out there is an issue to where they have forgotten something on the order. Have held off of reviewing probably over 10 times of mistakes and simply cannot let it go any longer as our order today was missing meatballs and the pita bread. Not to mention where 2 of the salads look like "half". Get it together Hellenic as from the dine-in atmosphere and experience you are better than that.

As an "Edit". I have expressed this to them on more than one occasion. They simply cannot get the takeout experience correct and/or do not value the customer the same way. Not to mention the takeout experience defaults to a 20% tip with options of 25% and 30%. So on our $125 bill (not including tax and tip) for 6 Greek Gilled Chicken Salads and 3 meatballs (supposed to be 4) this is just extra fuel added to the fire. WAY...

Updated: I went back again like I said. This time I did a call in order for pick up to surprise my mom & brother with a meal. This would be their 1st time trying this restaurant. My brother love gyros/gyro platters. I ordered the Salmon platter and the gyro platter. I asked the lady that I placed my order with what came with each platter. I was so glad that I checked my order when I got to the restaurant. What was mentioned that came with the Salmon platter by phone was not what I received. I did let that be known and I did receive a Greek salad. The gryo platter looked like a kids meal. That is why a lot of people don't like doing takeout because they feel like they don't receive the same quantity and quality as if they dined in. When my husband and I visited months back we dined in and he ordered the gyro platter and received plenty. I was so disappointed. I could have went to Shomars and received way more food for less money. Please familiarize yourself with the menu and give the same amount of food to costumers even if it is takeout. I am changing my review from a 4 to a 2.

My husband and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. The amount was worth the cost. The service was good as well. We would have given it a 5 but it was a few things. We didn't like seeing the blonde young lady eating while working the bar. The lamb meat had some hard pieces in it from where the meat was cooked to long or something and the food was warm, but overall the favor of the food was pretty good. We will try it again...

The first time ago I notified was the owners or family of the owners, my first time was a excelente 10/10 experience everything. Once my husband came back from a long trip we was so exited to visit this spot since everyone and everything was so nice the first time. 🚨 But unfortunately was far away to be like the first time, not even close….

We have this server with a beautiful face and nice height maybe a model …

But the service …. we never gonna came back at least to dinner ( because the food is a dream ) everything is good.

Anyways … She bring me water from the zinc … my husband tell wow this taste a lot like clorine… Thins don’t happens the first visit.

I realice my water was not even cold or nothing like I even warn… I know after I work 10 years in restaurant gun form the war dispense cold water. I notified as well the table after us ( have another server ) have the cold water.

When I ask her if she can change the water, she pretend I don’t know what I’m talking about, she proceed change the water, I have to go outside to throw the old water from The cup.

my husband ask for a beer she take a long time and pass through us a lot of times, I call her and tell her hey I’m sorry we don’t want the beer no more.

She put a fake face and said omg are you suuuuure? I feel bad I don’t leave tip 😭 her ego omg. Sorry

To the owner: please don’t hire someone for beauty, hire humble hard workers individuals with...

Have you ever had food so good, that you find yourself doing a little dance in your seat? Well, that was my experience here! I not only had a dine-in lunch, I ordered a to-go meal for dinner because that's how good the food is here. I started with the Spicy Feta Dip, delicious, then I had the Lemon Chicken Platter, with fries, and a salad (see 📸). The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy, and the lemon taste was just right and not overpowering. The fries were so tasty and crispy, I dare not put ketchup on them. For my take out meal, I ordered the Lemon Feta Orzo with Chicken (I was on a lemon kick 🤭), and it was so yummy that I split it so I could have some for the next day! I would be remise if I didn't talk about the atmosphere and service. It is family run, and you feel that warmth when you walk in, and the interaction feels like you're having a family meal. The decor is simple, but beautiful. It's very spacious, and there is bar seating, and a small area for outdoor seating as well. They do have parking available around the back of the restaurant. So, if you are in the area, and a looking for a great meal, comforting atmosphere, delivered by a family that makes you feel like family, at a good price, make sure you visit!

An absolute GEM! Visited on a Friday at 12pm with coworkers and we were BLOWN away! Firstly, the hostess and waitress were very friendly and efficient. Our waitress gave great recommendations. Nice cute Greek kitchen located in South End. The food was phenomenal! We started off with the Geeek fries. They were crispped to perfection and seasoned perfectly with Feta. If your not a feta person I would not recommend the Greek fries. Next we sampled the Taziki, hummus and spicy feta. DELICIOUS! It came with a selection of cucumbers and pita bread. Our favorites were the hummus and taziki. It was all very tasteful. I ordered the Mediterranean bowl. I switched the arugula with romaine lettuce and added the quinoa. It was very delicious. Very fresh and I did not even need to add the dressing to it. It was not dry at all and the added chicken blended everything together! Such a great restaurant and I recommend it. I will definitely be returning to try other things on their menu. Also, they do have free 2 hour parking located in their back parking garage.

A cozy little Greek food inspired restaurant in the Dillworth area of CLT. The inside is inviting, clean and vibrant! Table service was excellent! Server was very attentive, and great! Speaking Greek with us and laughing. ( I'm also greek). The food was outstanding! All the pitas were delicious! As authentic as you can get for US style. The fries in the PITAS is absolutely Greek Street Food style! The Taziki was just like home! Greek sharp yogurt, dill, garlic and shreds of cucumber! Loved it! All the Mezze was amazing. Some of the best Calamari i I've had in CLT! LAMB CHOPS were buttery soft, thyme infused! Adding a SPLASH of fresh lemon to every is a MUST for theta Athenian flavor! The flaming Saganaki table side was EPIC like always. Being NY Greeks, THE WHOLE FAMILY GIVES THIS LLACE A+++. Better than Greeks places in NY and Chicago to be honest! The Baklava Cheese cake is a must! Little disappointed no Yaya to read my Greek coffee 😊😊😊
