It's a great spot location for a fun night out. Great dj, good music (from 90/00s up) drinks were overpriced for small plastic cups like most spots... but the kicker was the acceptance of weed smoking throughout the night. Honestly, it was entirely too much. Security allows it, so I didn't bother with saying anything. Folks didn't mind, and I didn't complain, but maybe having folks smoke outside would be better. [Not everyone smokes weed or wants to be around it - the hookah is already a lot.] It eventually became too much, and we ended up leaving... we were trying to celebrate a birthday. As for the atmosphere, the vibes are good. Great spot if you like to just unwind and chill, smoke something... the dj honestly was the absolute best... we went on a Sunday night. I'm curious if other nights are more relaxed without smoking as it would be a great spot to get out and enjoy. I wouldn't mind returning another night just to see. The bartenders and bottle girls had good energy, too. I loved that the game was playing on the huge wall screen and all the tvs- made for an added plus to the venue. If you're visiting Charlotte and want to enjoy uptown without all the extra requirements for entry, this is a good spot. It was also free to enter - which was cool, unsure cost on other nights. Most folks were dressed down street clothes, so I don't think they have a dress code like other venues. Another option is to just get better ventilation, and then smoking won't be so aggressive to non-smokers. All in all, it was a great final stop to our Bday bar/venue crawl, and I'm not disappointed with the adventure! I chose 4 stars solely bc of the...

The Imperial was a nice chill spot before 11pm . The live jazz band was really good , as well as the DJ on the roof. The music selection was the best thing for me , the drinks were ok.

I don't see the hype of the drinks ... my margarita was mediocre and the apple mule drink was good if you like apple cider. I did have one whiskey drink with a nicely prepped ice cube with an orange rind frozen to it , but my Hennessy XO I sipped at home beforehand was better . I felt the drinks were more show and sweet mixes compared to other bars and speak easy's I've visited.

I have to agree with a few other reviews, the cleanliness of the ladies room is lacking , and I was disgusted with the sea of men leaving their restrooms without washing their hands at the community sinks in front of the bathrooms. Just think of all the nasty germs being spread.

The bar staff weren't pleasant or special... we actually had to wait for someone to come to the bar at 8:30 to help us. The website doesn't make sense , you can reserve tables but you don't get a call back or anyone at the bar knows what you're talking about .

All in all I just see this place changing names and owners in a few years like all it's predecessors ... people really don't care when they are drunk anyway , right...

I just wanted to come on here and say that this is by far the BEST bar/lounge/club in Charlotte. You will not leave out disappointed. you’re instantly greeted by a few security as you walk up the stairs (they may look intimidating but are friendly.. as long as you follow direction). As you walk in, depending on the day of week and time, the downstairs may or may not be packed. There are sections but they do get reserved. Upstairs is a VIBE for sure. The only thing I will say is that you cannot bring down your hookah from upstairs to downstairs, i had to learn the hard way but nevertheless, we were accommodated. Staff is amazing, but jazzy jazz is AMAZING!!! We always look forward to seeing her behind the bar. This is for sure our go to spot every weekend. Ambience, service, drinks, HOOKAH
it’s all on point. Thank you!

I will say, if you truly want to experience the whole nine, be prepared to spend some money.. if not, go to your local chain...

Love this place! Especially the rooftop. Thursdays and Saturdays are the best. My only con is that lately they've taken away the seating upstairs which is the whole reason I loved going. Great music and lounge/bar vibe to sit down and do hookah or have drinks and catch up, dance if you wanted. Started to become so packed and no seating more like a club which was a con for me. It may be a one off event though. They have huge moscow mules that are amazing and so fun to drink in a group!

Friday night was a nice vibe. The roof top was cool and the DJ was playing good music all night. I’m not really into the new club scene being heavily influenced by “section culture” because it makes the experience extremely anti-social. I miss when clubs were for socializing and dancing and not just smoking hookah and paying for a section to buy overpriced bottles of liquor. Anyways, I enjoyed my time here because I know how to fun. Not because the club knew how to host.

This place is really just going to be what you make it. I wouldn’t recommend getting a section. You’re told it fits ten people and the seat holds like five. Also we had to wait for them to get people out of our “section”. The seats are also super old and have rips in them. It’s also EXTREMELY over charged. The music is ok, however the DJ talks more than the music plays. Also, there’s a lock on the bottles so only the bottle girls can pour the alcohol
