Dropped the stars to 1. We stopped by today 4/13/25 because we had a great experience the first time. Today we were disappointed and disgusted. We waited a several minutes to place our order. It was kinda busy. The staff was not friendly or welcoming.
Two were working the line while the manager, I assume, was on the computer or something. She never came up to help them out until there was a looong line. One girl, didn't get her name, wore gloves but she had to help a staff member at the register. As she walked over there she wiped her nose on the glove she wore. She touched the register with the gloves on. She came back to the front of the line and took people's orders. She grabbed falafel balls with the same gloves that she touched her nose and the register. Not once did she change her gloves. Who knows what else she touched before changing them.
I used to work in a restaurant like this and if we touched the register, went into the back or touched cash or our faces, we had to change our gloves and put new ones on.
Previously 5 stars were given! We were in Charlotte doing sightseeing. We were close by to Ikea and I had my daughter research restaurants for lunch. She found Mezeh Mediterranean Grill. First time here! Esmerelda and Steven took great care of us!!! My daughter and I did made build your own junior bowls. The food was delicious! I loved the garlic lemon hummus and the spicy hummus. Read moreI went to dinner at 7:15pm on a weekday. This was my first visit. There is absolutely NO reason why they were out of food. My friend and I ordered and the worker informed us they were out of some sort of chicken and the lamb. He then failed to mention that they were also out of 3 other ingredients specifically in the bowl my friend ordered, in addition to the sauce that came with that bowl and the sauce he suggested. He then said they didn’t have any avocados, but that he could check in the back, “but…” So my friend said, yes, she wanted him to check. Lo and behold, avocados! Imagine that! Ingredients that were in my bowl were also “out.” I worked hospitality for 12 years. There is absolutely NO reason to tell a guest you’re out of half your menu at 7:15pm on a Wednesday night AND to act like you couldn’t care less to check on the ingredients you likely in the back. If you’re out of a dressing - go make it! It’s your job! If you’re out of ingredients - prep more! Read moreI attempted to get take-out tonight. When I walked in, there was an employee at the counter. She kept looking at me but did not greet me. She was preparing an order, most likely an on line order as there was nobody else in line but me. I just stood there looking up at the menu and she eventually said hello then continued with what she was doing. Another employee came from the kitchen and brought out more food directly in front of where I was standing. She looked at me and didn't say one word and walked away. By this time, I'm looking around to see if there are other employees that may be coming to assist or even tell me someone would be with me shortly. I got nothing. So at this point I've been standing for about 5 mins. I happen to look in another direction and see they have an 88.5 Sanitation Grade.
