Originally when I found this restaurant, I was so happy and I loved it and I enjoyed going, but I went today and my experience was terrible and it was enough for me to never go back. I normally don’t even do reviews for restaurants, but this one definitely made me upset. There was a hair in my soup and not even on the top of the soup. It was in the soup to where I didn’t even notice until after I had already took a couple of bites. Once I alerted my server, she seemed kind of nonchalant to it and just took the wall back and had it. At this plenty of time, I was already aggravated because I was extremely hungry and I didn’t like the nonchalant demeanor from the server once the new bowl arrived I was not given a new pair of chopsticks nor was I given a new plate of toppings (bean sprouts, lime, etc. Also, by this point, my drink was fairly low. When I originally came in, it was not busy, but after I received my first bowl. It did get fairly busy which as a server myself I definitely understand, but my server purposely went out of her way to avoid my table and was going to every table around us except for mine. By this time I had sat and wait for around 10 minutes with my new bowl and still didn’t receive any chopsticks or topics to where my significant other had to go and alert a manager again we waited a good 10 minutes before our server once again came up to us claiming she was the manager To which I expressed my frustration With my service and requested us to go bowl. Again, with a nonchalant attitude, she took it back to the kitchen. Bowl for me. By this time, my significant other could see I was clearly aggravated and went to alert an actual manager while she was at the front counter and trying to alert the manager. The server came back to me with my bag. A fresh drink, and the bill. Which again would’ve been nice when I originally said something, but now at this point where I’m about to leave it was kind of pointless as I looked at the bill. I noticed that they gave me a five dollar discount and that was all I had received for my troubles. Now money is nothing and I have no issue paying the bill as it was only $20 but it was the principal of the fact that I have went through so much trouble with the server and they only had took off five dollars for me finding a hair in In my soup and clearly being neglected by my server. Once again, I finally get up and go to the front counter myself to speak to someone else. And at this time, I was able to talk to two other servers who are very nice and they were able to take the The soup off my bill And offered to give us a feedback directly to the manager, who apparently was too busy to come out of the kitchen to deal with the fact that there was a hair in someone’s soup. Now I have been a manager before at a restaurant and clearly this was not the way to go if someone would’ve told me that there was hair found in the soup of my guess I would’ve went directly to the table and took care of it myself instead of sending a server to portray as a manager, who didn’t know what they were doing. On another note, this did definitely feel like a racial profiling thing since we were the only African-American people In the restaurant at this point in time, other than the two friendly servers who had helped us at the end. Again, food was great when I first started, but the servers in Is terrible into the manager, who is too busy to come out and deal with the problem herself I hope and pray that people have the same patience that...
Read moreMy family walked in and didn’t know whether to walk to the register/POS, or wait by the door. However the servers and hostesses greeted us and we met up with them in the back. We scanned the menu and ordered a couple things. We ordered the clam dish to try and it was great. I’d eat a whole plate alone. The pho was great as well, it had a bit more sweetness than what I’m used to, but I know that’s how the style is sometimes. They were very accommodating when we asked for special requests. Whenever I go to a pho restaurant, I always try the Bun Bo Hue. This place didn’t disappoint. Everyone likes their bbh a little different, but I’d say this place is #2 on my places to go for bbh. The only reason it’s #2 is because it was missing the huyết (pork blood) and cha lua (pork roll). I asked the server if the soup was supposed to come with it, and she said it should, but mine didn’t have any. The kitchen apologized and comped 15% off for my dish, which I was appreciative for.
Places for improvement: My soup spoon was swimming in the soup, and that was a bit unpleasant to fish out and wipe down since bbh can be oily. Have the ingredients listed in the menu be in the dish. That pork blood and pork roll is what I love the most. I know it turns people away, so maybe ask each person that gets bbh if they want it?
This place has a lot of potential. The cooks know what they’re doing. The servers are all attentive and sweet. I hope they keep improving, and to let the customers get what they...
Read moreI was here with my mom and daughter the other night. Just as an fyi, we've been here before many many times and we love the food and atmosphere. We always get the fried thick noodles with either seafood or tofu. It looked like they were crazy short staff, so alright, I never come down on the staff when they are doing their best. I've worked at mom and pops before, it's a disaster when you are shorthanded. My mom and I decided to splurge and get the noodles with seafood which general come with a good amount of big scallops shrimp and what not. Y'all, baby scallops that were broken, I counted 3 tiny shrimp and the most heartbreaking thing, our noodles were like bricks!!! Like we were eating friend pork skin. I showed it to our server, (same server that got us onto these noodles in the past) and she said that that was the regular amount of seafood that came with it (lies) and when we returned the hard as rock noodles, she said those were the last noodles and there were no more. My daughter had to order some side chicken because they were out of the dish she wanted and I feel like it was garlic with some chicken on the side. One of my biggest pet peeves is quality over anything. Especially when you are charging $20 for a plate. Won't be coming back unfortunately. I hate that because this was a sure spot to get good food and the atmosphere is now like a common chinese take out place (yes, I know they are...
