McDonald's — Restaurant in Charlottesville

They got a Mcchicken with no mayo wrong, and they got a burger with no onions wrong too at this Barracks Rd Shopping Centre Mickey Ds in Charlottesville. They are also clueless idiots if you don't mind me saying. I hate to bash them like that but its true. They corrected their mistakes but what I saw while I was in the store deserves an idiot of the year award. While I was inside, a man arrived with his Mcdonalds uniform on. He said he was ready for his 5th day of work. The manager, a heavy set black lady, said No. I don't think so. I don't even know who you are. He said but you hired me. She looked at him and said huh??? Like she was confused. He said he could get his paperwork, it was in his car. She said I didn't know I hired you. Then she told him to get the paperwork. When he returned I was just getting my bag of food. I heard her tell him I don't remember hiring you, but we have you on file, so go on to work. Your gonna be training on grill. Hahaha. I was amazed. That is crazy honestly. You don't just forget a thing like that. How could you forget hiring someone? You have to interview them before you hire them. This manager was probably on drugs. She looked clueless walking around the store.

So I went here around 8:00pm to get a chocolate shake (1st mistake) with some hit fudge on it since I wanted something chocolate and when you want chocolate nothing else will do. So I get handed a cup with something in it that was white as Casper the friendly ghost with two little swipes of fudge on top this useless blob of whip cream.🤔 So I go in (went thru drive thru) and tell the manager I ordered a choc shake and paid extra for hot fudge and I was looked at like I was not in a place to get what I want and then proceeded to tell me since he didn't know how to charge me for fudge he could only give me a little bit.🙄 After standing there for a few minutes another employee brings a bag of choc mix for the machine and then it all makes sense, it was empty and his this top notch manager didn't want to fill it so he gave me vanilla. 😡 The other employee finally made my shake and after 10 minutes of standing the lazy one said " I'ma hook you up" giving me the fudge I originally should've gotten to start with and paid for. People, if you don't want to help people and get what they ask and pay for DONT WORK AT A PLACE THAT DOES FOR OTHER PEOPLE!!!!! Pic is first shake I...

The employees snicker and sneer too much at the customers - only they think the customers don't know they're what's (apparently) so funny, or that other people can't hear them. I thought that was ironic, considering most (other) people they serve in the excellent diversity Charlottesville don't have dead-end jobs and no future. Though perhaps that's the crux of the matter, their point of frustration. I should be more forgiving than one star, so... two... Maybe, if McDonald's can afford to lose a wealth of customers, they should stick to being a real estate company. It's sad, but we still live in a world where someone has to do this kind of thing, until automation can rescue the less driven from such dehumanizing tasks.

My apologies if my response is gruff. Still, typically when people are hit they have a tendency to hit back. Perhaps this is why the cowardice to mock customers behind their back (only) - or so they thought.
