We’re very excited about this place. I’ll start off by saying that they’ve been open a week, and we saw none of the usual “new restaurant” chaos. The service is on point. Dishes came out quickly and nicely coursed, we got exactly what we ordered, we got excellent recommendations from Maddy for both food and wine, and everyone was very friendly. It was seamless. As a customer, it looked like a team that had been together for months if not years. I would never guess that they were trying to learn a new space, new menu, and new team while seating a full house.
The food is excellent. Dishes are creative and well thought out. The raviolo dish in particular is in my opinion one of the best dishes in any restaurant in Chattanooga right now. The chicken dish was beautifully balanced and complex, and the focaccia was fantastic (especially dunked in the left over egg yolk from the Raviolo).
The wine list is small but clearly very carefully considered, and very interesting. There’s very little you’ll find on any other wine list in town, and we got two recommendations from Maddy that were both wines that were totally new to me (no small feat for this wine nerd), paired beautifully with our dishes, and were both wines that I will go out of my way to seek out now.
They also have one of the best outdoor dining areas in town. That patio is going to be VERY popular when word gets out, especially for Sunday brunch.
We will definitely be...
Read moreI wanted to love this place after all the hype. Made reservations for 4 ladies to celebrate a birthday. Specifically made “dining room” reservations not “patio” yet our party was sat on the patio. Besides being chilly despite heaters, seating on any patio on main st on a Saturday night is horrible due to the fire trucks & motorcycles. My chair was soaking wet but I didn’t realize it until after sitting in a while (I assumed it was just cold). Portions for the money were underwhelming. Fries— how do you mess up fries? We ordered 2 for the table. One was fine. The other was cold & undercooked. The “aioli” was basically jarred mayo The raviolo was a literal joke (like we were still chatting about it in the group chat the next day). It was an actual single bite of food for $25. The waitress was clearly annoyed when we sent back. The Caesar, cauliflower, & cheese plate were all fine— nothing special. Wine by the glass options were extremely over priced. I stopped for a drive thru burger on my way home. Calling something “European” is a poor reason to...
Read moreMy fiancé and I came here for brunch with two friends, and we all really enjoyed our visit. The decor and atmosphere alone are worth the trip — it’s such a thoughtfully designed and inviting space.
We tried the pistachio-inspired espresso martinis, which I’ll admit I was hesitant about at first since I already knew what I wanted, but I gave it a shot — and it was actually really nice! The shrimp appetizer was decent; while I’m a veggie lover, I found the dish itself a little underwhelming with just a few shrimp and some thin crostini, though it was flavorful. The guys ordered oysters and loved them.
For entrées, I had the orecchiette pasta and really enjoyed it — everyone agreed the dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. We did have to leave a bit abruptly since we were seated on the patio and the weather turned fast, but the staff handled it so well. They were quick with the check, our server was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, and overall the service was excellent.
We’ll definitely be back — maybe for...
