Our family needed a good night of fun together, but often the kids don't get as excited as mom and dad to go to dinner because there's "nothing for them to do". It dawned on us to try The Playlist where we've heard the concept is for Waiters and Waitresses to lip sync and perform for the tables. After being seated, it wasn't long before we were all enjoying the excitement as we became familiar with the lights, stage, and dancefloor in the dining room, jokingly asking ourselves what we've gotten ourselves into. The staff was quick to makes us feel at home and before long we were enjoying great drinks, Table Salad, Garlic knots, and a selection of Italian pastas while watching our kids dance with big smiles on their face that matched ours. The owner was kind to come around and introduced himself, thanking us for coming and encouraging that he'd like people to know this is a Family Fun restaurant. The Playlist is great for parties, as we saw a girls night out group having a blast over food, drinks, and dancing with provided costume gear having a great time, as people from all over the restaurant from families having a fun night out to Bachelorette parties join the stage to dance like nobody is watching. The staff was excellent. The food was very good and each dish was hearty with thoughtful presentation. A large selection of drinks, including THC/CBD seltzers. To cap off dinner, we enjoyed the chocolate cake for dessert - highly recommend. As a family, we each had the best night out together in a long time! The Playlist is a good answer for bringing the family out for a fun dinner and night out together. I hope the word spreads to get out of the norm for Dinner and Celebrations and try The Playlist for your next Family outing or Celebration You'll find it's a great time, and fun for anyone who is open to letting loose or people watching. Many thanks to the staff, kitchen, and ownership for a great (and much needed) Family Fun night out!! The Playlist gave us family memories last night that brought us closer together all the way home, laughing and reminiscing. Highly recommend for a family fun night out, birthday party, or...
Read moreGiving this a 5* not because it was perfect, but because it's such a great idea that deserves to succeed! Food is good, service is good, although not as fast as a "normal" restaurant (which is to be expected and is not a negative). That said, it's a great idea that needs to go to the next level. As a retired wedding DJ who DJed over 1500 weddings in 33 years, I think there's a few issues that can easily be fixed.. first, there needs to be an MC or at least give the servers microphones. There are always special guests with birthdays, anniversaries, etc and you just don't know about them. You see someone yelling and clapping, but you have no idea why. Have an energetic MC who can announce these things! Second, the hard cuts on the songs are distracting and take away from the otherwise great feel. At the very least, please don't cut the songs right at the chorus or most famous part of the lyrics. This can be fixed without needing a live DJ by simply editing the songs with a fade at the correct time. Third, and I know this is the most difficult... Having LIVE singing would take this place over the top! I realize it's difficult to find/keep talented people who can also serve.. but I don't think it's impossible. The lip syncing is fun, but also a bit corny. Honestly, I'd pay an extra $20 for live singing, and I think a lot of other people would also (maybe try doing a survey?). We'll be back! It's a fun place and sometimes we just don't want to sit around while...
Read moreLet’s just say it was very underwhelming, it’s servers that are lip synching songs on a stage. The booths are comfy and it gave a sort of gentleman’s club vibe look but there stage was minuscule surrounded by fake trees and a house ?? Don’t really know what they were going for. The garlic bread was not good, salad had mushrooms? Spaghetti bolognese was a bright spot, we didn’t even know there was dessert till we were leaving and saw 2 different cakes going out ? You’d think for paying $120 up front your server would offer a dessert right or at least notify you ( wasn’t on the selective menu ). Not going to name the server because why get someone in trouble because maybe our experience was very poor. Just hope you guys never get her. No liquor or beer or wine. They only offered Franzia box wine… you cook with that mainly. Then throughout the dinner a man was walking around with a camera filming the workers and it felt like us and other guests were being filmed as well. Why not do promotional stuff like that before you open? Not worth $120 to say the least. Wouldn’t recommend to others. I could see the concept that they were going for, just executed...
