Well-decorated. Clean. Well-lit. Good atmosphere. High prices, and average service. Food was pretty solid, albeit I wouldn't say anything extraordinary.
A friend and I were there during the a.m. - no other customers there when we arrived, and only a couple other tables by the time when we left. Yet the service provided by our waitress was only so-so. My luke-warm gyro arrived with cheese already starting to cool - definitely not hot off the grill. I forgot what exactly my friend ordered, but I think it was something similar - a gyro or wrap of sorts. Neither his nor mine came with a side or furnishings or anything - just a gyro on a plate, all by it's lonesome self. Nothing gargantuan-sized, either; I've had bigger at other places, for less cost. I believe each was ~$8-9, here. Tasted good, but nothing exceedingly memorable, for the price. Further what really annoyed us was, after already having paid - and left a nice tip on the credit card, so the waitress already saw it - my friend and I lingered for ~10-15 minutes longer, since it wasn't busy and we had some catching up to do. The waitress never came by to refill our waters; I had to crunch on ice about 6 or 7 times. The restaurant was pretty dead, so they're it's not like she was busy or should've been sending a message for us to leave so that a table would be available for a waiting party. We were polite and respectful and low-maintenance the whole time, and left a nice tip that she already received... I would've expected her to at least fill our waters another time as we remained there for a few.
We ended up paying $22 for a brunch that didn't really fill either of us, and sub-par...
Read moreNot even a real gyro. It said on the menu that it was seasoned lamb and beef. It tasted like it was just beef, and it tasted like Salisbury steak, not even close to a gyro. The "pita" bread just tasted like a pancake. Oh, the poor tzatziki sauce was nowhere near real tzatziki sauce. It was just mayo and salt. This was by far the absolute worst gyro I have even had the displeasure to have. When we told the wait staff it wasn't very good, he responded that he would tell the manager. Yeah, we our bill and charged full price for something that was not even good enough to eat. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will not be back. My husband had the same dish that I had, and his food came cold. When he informed the waiter, the waiter said he would inform the manager but never came back with an answer to it. He then proceeded to clear our table of everything, including our drinks. He rudely asked if we were done and if he could take our dishes. I felt no choice but to give up my drink. When leaving, my husband inquired what the manager said about our food. The waiter just replied that the manager said it was shipped that way. So what does that mean? Does it mean the food is shipped without heat, so it is served without heat or that they use beef instead of lamb. When we asked about the beef in the gyro, the waiter found it necessary to rudely correct my husband on the pronunciation of gyro even though he said it correctly. Then, he told us that all gyros were made that way. I decided to call a Greek restaurant that we had frequently gone to and inquired about this claim, and they replied that they only...
Read moreI recently dined at Olga’s and was thoroughly impressed, not only with the food but also with the excellent service provided by the manager, Emily.
Emily truly sets the tone for the restaurant. Her professionalism and attention to detail were apparent from the moment I walked in. She made sure the atmosphere was welcoming and that every customer received exceptional service. Her presence and leadership really elevated the overall dining experience, making it clear that she is deeply invested in ensuring her guests are well taken care of.
I ordered the Original Olga, and it was a perfect balance of flavors. The soft, warm pita bread encased tender, well-seasoned beef and lamb, complemented by the signature Olga sauce. The freshness of the ingredients was noticeable, and the combination of textures and flavors—savory, tangy, and crisp—made for a satisfying meal. The portion size was just right, leaving me full without being overwhelmed. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in maintaining the quality of Olga's signature dishes.
Emily’s exceptional management, along with the high-quality food, made my visit to Olga’s an outstanding experience. The Original Olga is a must-try, but it’s Emily’s dedication to her role that makes the restaurant stand...
