Our experience with Chicago Winery as our wedding venue was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, we could tell this place was on a whole different level than anywhere else we had toured. Their attention to detail was immediately obvious and it gave us total peace of mind knowing that they would really take care of us and make our lives easy throughout the entire planning process and wedding day.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. It has a warm, luxurious feel that created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Every part of the planning — from our initial meeting, to the booking process, to the tasting, and of course the wedding day — felt effortless. It was smooth, stress-free, and completely aligned with the vision we had for our big day.
One thing that really made a difference for us was how easy the team was to work with. Everyone was so kind, responsive, and accommodating. We also really appreciated their curated list of suggested vendors. Most of the vendors we chose were from that list, and they were all incredibly familiar with the space, which made everything even easier.
We had the pleasure of working closely with Chris Nehlsen, our event coordinator. He was beyond helpful throughout the planning process and made sure the actual wedding day ran like clockwork. If anything came up, he handled it immediately, and we never had to worry.
The food was another major highlight. From the first time we tried their food, we knew we were in for something special. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We heard so many compliments from our guests about both the food and the service. The dinner staff and bartenders were all amazing and added to the overall experience.
Chicago Winery also did a great job coordinating with our vendors to make sure everything stayed on track. We truly felt supported every step of the way.

Read moreFrom the moment we walked into Chicago Winery, we just knew it was the place where we wanted to get married. There's something so warm and inviting about the space, and Lindsey made us feel incredibly special from the very first meeting. She took the time to sit with us, explain what makes Chicago Winery unique, and truly made us feel like family. Lindsey is an amazing person who not only answered ALL of our questions, but she was always a friendly face who always stopped to say hi throughout our planning visits and tasting. She is an amazing person who genuinely was happy for us to get married and experience the beauty and elegance of Chicago Winery.
Our event manager, Hulda, was nothing short of amazing. So accommodating to our requests, organized, and supportive throughout the entire process. Hulda's experience in the wedding industry and as an event manager was evident in every detail, and we felt so fortunate to have her by our side. Hulda took the time to get to know us as a couple which was even more special on our wedding day. It felt like having a close friend there, celebrating and sharing in our happiness.
On the wedding day, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated and cared for. The food was absolutely incredible, and Hulda made sure my husband and I were able to try all of it, including our appetizers and dessert! The drinks were flowing all night and our signature cocktails were a huge hit with our guests. The fireplaces added such a cozy touch, making it the perfect setting for our winter wedding.
We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more wonderful team to bring our vision to life. If you're looking for a venue that combines elegance, warmth, delicious food and top-tier service, we highly recommend Chicago Winery! Chicago Winery will always be our special place. We're so grateful that we can come back for dinner and relive all the magic of our wedding day...
Read moreI visited Chicago Winery for my cousin’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the entire bar was overcrowded due to two weddings happening simultaneously, leaving no available seating or space for our wine tasting—even though we had arrived early, as recommended by the establishment.
To accommodate us, they allowed the tasting at our table, but there was significant miscommunication among the staff about the setup time. Despite having reservations, we ended up waiting 30 minutes before things were organized. Once seated, the manager seemed uninterested and dismissive.
While reviewing the wine menu, we were told that everyone in our group had to select the same wines, which was unusual compared to other wineries I’ve visited. After waiting another 15 minutes, our server finally took our wine order, but it took an entire hour before he returned to take our food order—apparently because he was busy making drinks at the bar. Throughout the night, I observed both the manager and our server attending to other guests multiple times before checking in with us.
The food itself was also underwhelming. The “shareable” dishes were only suitable for two people, despite our group of seven. Additionally, we had two guests with specific allergies (peanuts and dairy) who requested certain sauces on the side, yet their requests were ignored. To top it off, the birthday treat was just a single scoop of ice cream hastily placed in a drinking glass—an underwhelming and unimpressive presentation compared to the other dishes we received.
Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend...
