Mitchell's Tap — Restaurant in Chicago

To start off.. I have never been to a bar with worse service, as the last time I was there with a couple of my friends. I have been here in the past and had a pleasant experience talking with their cook and eating great food with good specials. I would have rated it as a 3 or 4 star from the staff I have previously encountered and the overall experience, but this last time was enough to make me NEVER GO BACK:

The bartender we had seemed out of it from the start, and was very spacey with drink orders. She used excessive amounts of profanity and seemed, in my opinion, drunk. We waited over 15 min BEFORE last call was called (early, because she wanted to be gone by 2am) and waited another 10 min after last call and were denied drinks, not because it was past last call, but because "we did not know her last name," so she refused to serve us on those grounds, and moved on. At that point, we did not want another drink but only our tabs, for which we had to ask MULTIPLE TIMES for.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a bar (which is saying a lot) and I will not be returning and strongly recommend others to think twice about giving this place your business with how poorly this bartender treated us and other "non-usuals" who "did not know her...

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars My brother and I were at Mitchell’s and had an extremely disappointing and frankly, discriminatory experience. A white patron told my brother to get out of a seat he wasn’t even sitting in. Instead of addressing the situation fairly, the staff chose to remove us from the bar . We were calm, respectful, and simply trying to enjoy our night. It became clear that we were being targeted . we were treated differently from the other patrons for no valid reason. It was humiliating and completely uncalled for. Bars should be safe and welcoming spaces for everyone, regardless of race or background. Sadly, Mitchell’s failed that basic standard. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who believes in respect, equality, or basic decency…

Went there for the first time for a birthday / memorial music event we really enjoyed ourselves an awesome backyard The bartender that night did a great job. We went back tonight a weeknight waited 15 minutes before the bartender even showed his face got our beers drank them waited another 15 minutes to see some girl bartender didn't seem all that interested being there. Our third beer ( that we never got) was another long wait with no bartender behind the bar and nowhere in sight? The place looks great it's clean with a great courtyard just wished we could get a beer in some kind of timely fashion. They all seem like friendly people there but I think serving beers is not...
