Went for happy hour today and loved the cool airy decor. Beautiful rooftop deck looking west - it was too hot and sticky to sit outside today though large and pretty. We sat at the bar which was sticky and you could see dirty plate and glass marks all over it which was an ick. The bartender finally came over after 10 minutes and acted like we were a huge annoyance. The happy hour prices were a great deal for food which was well prepared and served quickly by a professional server. Tried the ceviche with chicharrons, olives, pulled pork and prosciutto sandwich and all plates were solid. Most annoyed with the happy hour drinks at this Spanish small plates restaurant tucked onto the Hilton Canopy hotel. The beers were either from Italy or Belgium and the wine was an Italian Pinot Grigio which were odd offerings in this self proclaimed and named Seville, Spanish restaurant. It’s also odd that you enter off Franklin to go down a full set of stairs which are a fun turquoise color to go into the basement where hotel staff is rolling around dirty laundry to get into the elevator to go to the rooftop. It does avoid pulling people through the hotel lobby to enter but it’s an unneeded weird entry then when you leave and push ground level you exit through the hotel lobby. It’s was close to Inion station so an easy quick stop before jumping on the train home. Overall the thoughtful branding, pretty wall tiles, fun hanging lights and showplace bar is so close to being fantastic in so many ways and sadly ends up as a...
Read moreI went to Seville to try it out with a friend a couple weeks ago, and wow. Just wow. I keep thinking about the food and experience and how amazing they were. It was truly an unforgettable experience and I will be going back at any given opportunity. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the best staff. The hostess (Grace) was warm and inviting. My waiter (Alan) was so helpful with the menu. He checked in with us consistently and was so helpful and wonderful. The food was absolutely splendid. Chef Leon really outdid himself. His food was absolutely spectacular, I have never eaten anything better in my life! From the appetizers through to the entree, everything was spectacular. We had some of the specials and Chef Leon even came out himself to introduce the specials to us. The specials were so interesting and really showcase the Chef’s creativity and true talent. I am hoping to try the new ones this month! I now recommend Seville to anybody who asks me for recommendations in the loop. I cannot recommend it enough. If you are thinking of checking it out, YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD! YOU WILL...
Read moreWe got in from MN tonight to Chicago for a wedding this weekend. Just looked up places nearby our hotel and we lucked out. Fully enthralled by this place. Our waitress was so nice and gave great recommendatios, I wish I remembered her name too, to give her a shout out. My GF and I got the prcuitto pizza and osombuca and they were both delicious. The pork was literally falling off the bone. That phrase is thrown around a lot but, I haven't had fall off the bone like this albeit a handful of BBQ joints. The flavors paired so well together, especially the carmelized pistachios. Only thing is maybe a few more of the pistachios because they were so good but that's nitpicking. We were both very satisfied with this restaurant, for both the food and cocktails. They even took my strange cocktail request even though both of my GF's drinks off the menu were better. Highly recommend the "running with the bulls" if you like sweet delicious drinks. Even their bathrooms were great. They have the food and atmosphere of a high end restaurant that would charge way more. I highly recommend if you're...
