I go here after their lunch rush for their hand rolls. Once you order, you get to watch the chef make it and hand it to you. Portions are on the small side, but their seaweed is crisp and ingredients are fresh. Every time I've gotten their roll of the day it's something I haven't ever seen before at a sushi restaurant, and it's delicious. UPDATE: Dropping to 4 stars since the stall has not been updating their roll of the day regularly, and when they do the flavors have been pretty uninspiring. Also, they've raised the individual price of the roll of the day to $9, which even though everyone orders hand roll packs anyways, sounds pretty ludicrous for uninspiring flavors/ingredients.

Sushi-San at the Willis Tower never misses and always gets it right! Big fan of the hand rolls for a quick lunch that is delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced. My favorites are the crunchy fatty tuna, toro, spicy scallop, and then mixing it up with the roll of the day. Nice miso soup comes with the combo and you can stick with water or a refreshing cold green tea. Pull up to the bar, say what’s up to the friendly team, check some email, or just vibe. Long live Sushi-San!

Hugo is AMAZING! We’re visiting with family that had never been to Chicago. Came to the Willis Tower for the Skydeck but it was too cloudy of a day. We spent our time at Sushi San and Hugo gave us great recommendations, made delicious old fashions with Japanese whiskey, and started off our Sake bombs (too fun!). The atmosphere is really open and nice to hang out. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Too pricey & not good. Had the spicy salmon role & yellowtail yuzu roll.

The fish wasn't fresh, and some pieces had just a tiny piece of fish. Plus, who the heck puts asparagus & lemon in a spicy salmon roll by default?! Unless they're trying to hide the freshness of the fish with the lemon. And I personally am fine w/asparagus but I know not many people like it.

The packaged wasabi was weird and not hot. The packaged ginger was OK for the target audience but definitely looked bad. I expect more for the price and a Lettuce Entertain You place, especially at the Sears (Willis) Tower.

Perhaps my mistake was getting the pre-made sushi...but I don't think some of these things are...
