I finally got a chance to check out Raising Cane’s in Chico, and I gotta say—it’s a whole experience. If you’re looking for a quiet sit-down meal, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you like fast service, crispy chicken, and a high-energy vibe, you’ll probably love it. First Impressions: It’s Loud, But It Works The first thing I noticed walking in? The noise. Between the background music, the crew calling out orders, and customers chatting, the place is bustling. But weirdly enough, it works. Even though it sounds chaotic, the team has a system down. Orders are being called, food is flying out fast, and everyone’s moving like they know exactly what they’re doing. Oh, and then there’s the disco balls. Yes, you read that right—three disco balls hanging from the ceiling. It kind of gives the place a fun, nightclub feel, which adds to the whole energetic atmosphere. The Food: Simple, Fresh, and Filling I went with the Three Finger Combo, which comes with: ✔️ Three crispy, golden-brown chicken fingers ✔️ A side of crinkle-cut fries ✔️ A buttery slice of Texas toast ✔️ Cane’s signature dipping sauce ✔️ A drink The chicken? Hot, fresh, and not dry at all. You get solid white meat with a nice crunch on the outside. The Cane’s Sauce? Definitely the star—it’s got that tangy, slightly peppery kick that just works. And between the chicken, fries, toast, and drink, you’re definitely leaving full. For $11–$12, I’d say you’re getting your money’s worth. Service: Fast & Efficient One thing Raising Cane’s does really well? Speed. They even have people outside taking orders to keep the drive-thru moving. And when they’re not serving food, the crew is constantly cleaning tables—not just wiping them down but actually disinfecting them, which is nice to see. A Nice Bonus: Discounts & EV Charging One thing that really stood out to me? They offer a senior and military discount. With prices going up everywhere, it’s cool to see a place still showing some appreciation for seniors and veterans. Another surprise—Blink charging stations outside for electric vehicles. That’s a smart move, making it easy for EV drivers to grab a meal while charging up. Final Thoughts Raising Cane’s is one of those high-energy, fast-paced spots that’s probably going to be a hit, especially with younger crowds. It’s loud, but fun, and the food is fresh, simple, and satisfying. If you’re looking for a quiet meal, this ain’t it—but if you want fast service, good chicken, and a lively vibe, it’s definitely worth checking out. By the way, I’m 70 years old, So young is anyone one under 70😂

The lobby is roomy. It has music playing, too loud. Good temperature. Good seating. Nice and bright. They have like 20 spaces for EV parking, handicap parking and pickup parking. Its a little stupid. You have to parking a little further away and walk past tons of empty spaces. The lobby is nice, except fir this one random Spanish speaking lady in the back, screaming out something in Spanish, Hella loud, randomly. Its VERY annoying and disruptive. I wanna say the food sucked. The CHICKEN didnt. Almost EVERYTHING else did. I got a 3 chicken finger meal. It cost me $12.70. It came with a super thick, dry, piece of "texas" toast. Not sure why. There was nothing juicy to sop up with the toast. There was no butter or anything to go with the toast. Just a big, thick, dry piece of bread to go with your dry fries. Very strange. The fries were barely crisp, thin and blatantly from frozen. When you bite into them, they have a slight crisp to them and then they have a powdery finish. The chicken fingers were actually very good. Not worth the price. Its like a 5 dollar meal for nearly 3 times the value. I'll be surprised if this place is still open in two years. In the picture, I ate the chicken. The rest is left.

Pluses+ Pick up extremely smooth. In and Out, sort of speak. Pay in the app, minutes later, voila! Staff in general fully committed to do a good job. Well prepared for the anticipated crowd. 4.5 Stars. Minuses~food was not above expectations. Fries very small size, not a hint of great fries, 2.5 Stars. Cole Slaw, besides the good thing of not being overly sweet, did not distinguish itself beyond average, 3.3 Stars. Texas Toast, more like Jr. size, which contradicts past shows in far location. Edible and good addition, but half the size? 3 Stars. Chicken, the main contender, tasty overall. 50% soft, 50% more chewy without suggesting past the point of no return, box combo included 4 pieces ($13.39), really supposed to be better and pieces bigger, perhaps? 3.4 Stars. Sodas carbonated, 4.2 Stars. Sauce thousand island on salty twist, 3 Stars. Obviously not addictive enough for a quick return. 3.3 Stars.
