I don’t ever post negative reviews, but I even know where to start. We had a great experience purchasing my wedding band and my engagement ring, however, the quality has been absolutely horrendous. I lost three diamonds in my wedding band within the first year of owning it, and a FOURTH one a year later, and my main diamond in my engagement ring has now come loose TWICE. After taking in my ring to have the diamonds replaced, I asked to have the wedding band completely replaced as it had to have been faulty. They refused to do this, and instead said they would replace the diamonds, which meant I’d be out of a ring for weeks at a time. I was without my wedding ring for a cumulative of several months my first year of being married, which should never happen. When I lost the fourth diamond I about lost my mind. They eventually told me my options were to either bring it in every single month to have the prongs checked and tightened (meaning I’d be without the ring for at least a week every month - unreal); I could trade in the band and have to spend 2x the amount of the band in order to do a trade in, or unsauter it and keep it and get a new band at full price. (I unsautered it and kept my band and bought a new one elsewhere). Not to mention they had horrible communication with me to where I had to call and check on my ring several times, all when they told me that they would keep me updated but never did. And lastly, my sister in law AND cousin have both had several issues with their rings as well (one had to get a brand new ring elsewhere due to her ring issues). Read moreI took my engagement ring to DeVons because the stone was quite loose and needed tightening (not a ring from their store, but from Etsy). I called first and they were very kind and cordial on the phone; the first woman I talked to assessed the information I gave her and went to ask an associate to get me an accurate answer, and then when I asked a more difficult and specific question, she put that associate on the phone. When I asked him for an estimate, he said they're usually hesitant to give an estimate until they can actually see the jewelry and assess it, but asked me some basic questions about it and was able to give me a range, which was very helpful, simply because I just wanted to know if I was going to be able to afford it. Once I actually brought it in, they were quick to get it in, and the woman at the front desk gave me an estimate for the longest amount of time it would take, but I got it back way sooner, which I was very pleased about, because I wanted it back before an event. They did an amazing job, and of course cleaned the ring, as well, and it looked like brand new. Will absolutely go back if it happens again, and am happy to be able to rely on DeVons if any issues arise in the future. Thank you so much...
Read moreIf I could give them 10 stars, I would. Top notch customer service. I went to DeVons for a ring repair and sizing. There was a minor snafu that caused a small time delay but Kevin: king of customers, sultan of service, update extraordinaire, made sure I was kept apprised of every new development. I felt very confident with the process. When I received the ring back it looked PERFECT! The staff who helped me during pick up were wonderful, professional, attentive, thoughtful, and friendly.
Let me be quite clear: this was a ring NOT purchased in store. The delay was microscopic compared to the effort DeVons staff went through to correct the issue, and it was a relatively small fee so they weren’t getting rich off this fix.
