I've never written a review before but I couldn't not write one with how bad of an experience I had here. Let's start with the food, it took over an hour to get our food even though the people next to us came in 30 minutes after us and got they're food 5 minutes after us. And the food quality was not good, the chicken tortilla soup I got had no cheese and instead was covered with way to many tortilla strip's. for the bacon ranch chicken sandwich I had, the chicken was very hard and had dabble of ranch on it. And the burger that my mom ordered was extremely undercooked. Also, the long island ice tea I ordered was the worst I've ever had, it just tasted like lemonade, and if you've had a long island before, you know how strong they are and this wasn't. Now let's talk about the server, Luis. Aside from not checking on us once after initial taking our order even though he walked past us at least 6 times, he also decided to take my half full water after I stared him down and told me he'd get me another one which then took 15 minutes, which wasn't the worst part. After my mom got her burger and realized it was still half raw, she had to get the attention of another waiter who saw the burger and immediately could tell it wasn't right who then got our waiter, he came over and looked at it a said "you don't like it" which she had to tell him that it wasn't cooked. He then decided to run to his manager who gave us a half assed apology and tell us he was very upset about it which he definitely didn't care. And to top it off I saw him pointing and talking about us to a coworker while we were waiting for our check because he thought he was hidden behind a glass pane. All in all the worst experience I've ever had at an Applebee's or any restaurant, the first time I l've ever not tipped my waiter, I instead gave a tip to the other waiter that immediately noticed the...
Read moreAs a chain you wouldn't think that you would have a 5 star experience but I did. It is located off of Memorial Drive in Chicopee at the Wal-Mart plaza. There is plenty of parking all the way around the building. I went by self. I walked in around 1:40 PM on a Friday and I asked not to sit at the bar. The manager was near the front and made friendly conversation with me while I was seated. This created a pleasant atmosphere. I noticed the tables and floor were all very clean and none were waiting to be bussed clean. I ordered the Bourbon Street Mushroom and Swiss burger (with pink in the middle) with waffle fries, a water and a coffee. The waffle fries are an up-charge, but well worth it. The coffee was hot/fresh, and served immediately. Usually at a chain pub like this coffee isn't ready to go, but it was and it was delicious. From the time I order to the time my food was served was 8 minutes. The burger had a nice amount of pink in the middle. The juices were still within the patty and did not taste too pressed out. The cheese was thick. The 2 sauces on it were a black pepper sauce and garlic mayo. They paired well with the onions and mushrooms without taking away the mushroom flavor. If I had 1 request it would be to increase the amount of mushrooms and reduce the amount of onions because I had onions everywhere when I was looking for mushrooms. The portion size was good for me. I finished all but 3 waffle fries. The wait staff was friendly and also let me know they have a convenient machine at each table so you don't have to wait for the check. Between the burger, the waffle fries (with an up -charge) and coffee it was roughly $19. At today's rates that is pretty standard for a chain restaurant. I will be going back to try...
Read moreOn July 25, We ordered the "Monday Hamburger-Anyway You Like it" special with the free added mushrooms, which I requested cooked Medium but was cooked Well Done and as hard as a hockey puck..we also requested BBQ seasoned French Fries but was given plain dry cold fries..The waitress not once came by except to drop the bill off and take my credit card that I had just taken out of my wallet and placed on the table, and returned to give me back my credit card and immediately left our table...I was given no chance to show my displeasure with the poor overcooked and dry hard hamburger and wrong cold French fries food and worse waitress service, and was also charged an additional $1.99 for the few FREE mushrooms to the "anyway you like it" hamburger..At that point my only option was to write my displeasure on the merchants credit card bill since I was unable to speak to anybody.....I have been eating this same meal there for the past year every Monday and never had such a bad experience as this, nor been charged extra for mushrooms, and now will never return there again ever, or any Applebees anyplace..in fact, the $19.43 charge was reversed and pending payment authorization removed the next day Tuesday once the note on the merchants's credit card bill had been read by management, but added back and charged again to my credit card two days later on Thursday...I contacted Applebees Headquarters since local management has ignored me, and allowed this wrongful orders, poor service and poor food quality while basically stealing my money..I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody due to poor service, wrongful orders, poor food, and...
