I would give it 5 stars, however I feel that they need to retrain some of the employees. There is a few things wrong with friendly's. First the company itself is failing. I can only imagine why. So back in April/ May I put in an application. Totally understandable that people go on vacation and other things lol. However there is a specific female that works there during the AM. I didn't get her name but that's totally ok cause I'm sure many of you know who I am talking about. I walked in around 1030 in the AM to find out about my application the lady that was working was quick to dismiss me and a problem instead of being respectful and understanding. It took me 4 weeks to finally get in contact with the hiring manager. At which point since I was tired of not providing for my 2 year old son and wife I told them it's a waste of my time at that point. I wasn't disrespectful or anything however I did tell them that I have been in there numerous times to check on my application and the same lady always wants to dismiss me with a nasty demeanor. Her exact words were well I don't know anything about your application and I'm not going to go and check I'm not going to go and look to see when the hiring manager comes in she's always here on Mondays to do the applications etc etc etc. at which point she then looked at me and said listen if you're only here to look at your application I don't know what to tell you but this is a restaurant and you need to leave because you're not here to order anything. All I have to say about that is this. If you put out a hiring sign or if you go on indeed to put in that you're hiring then you need to show the respect and the dignity as a normal human being to sit down and talk to said individual and figure out a solution to what may be a problem. It's your job as an employee to make sure that the customer is satisfied whether that customer is some gentleman or female that is walking in to find out if they're hiring or whether somebody there to talk about business or even just to sit and eat you need to continuously keep the professional attitudeif you can't keep a professional attitude you shouldn't be working at a restaurant or any type of a facility that has an x amount of customers coming in daily. I say this because of the simple fact that the day that I walked in it was completely dead she only had two customers maybe three she already seated them the people were making their food so there was nothing for her to be doing at that point she could have easily stopped what she was doing come and talk to me and go and take a look but no instead she tells me that I need to leave because she's busy during this time of our and all I'm doing is creating a problem for her her answer was that it's inconvenient for you to be here right now and I'm not going to go and take a look at any applications I don't know when they hiring manager is in but what do you expect she's been on holiday so don't be coming in here asking me if you've been hired or ask me what your situation is with your...

I received the most courteous service from both Ms. Degrottole of Friendly's corporate office and the general manager at the Chicopee, MA Friendly's location who quickly resolved my matter. I also appreciate the words of the Owner below. Thank you for your kindness.
FIRST POST:
I did not receive the "itemized" receipt that I requested at the Chicopee, MA location on 01/10/2024 (Order # 5141347) at 10:12 pm. The manager with whom I spoke to on 01/13/2024 (Mr. O) informed me that I was supposed to ask for an "itemized" receipt; also that he could not provide one or "look up" my receipt anymore, which is totally wrong and an unacceptable excuse. I suspect that I was overcharged. I was handed the "merchant's copy" of the receipt showing only the amount that I was charged. This manager attempted to justify my not having received my full "itemized" receipt because I did not specify "itemized" when I asked for it. I have never HAD to specify "itemized" when asking for "a receipt" at ANY establishment because "itemized" is implied and an "itemized" receipt is what I always receive.
I believed that I was overcharged; hence, the reason why I was never given the "itemized" receipt that I requested. This manager's statement that my receipt "is gone" (unable to be looked up) and his explanation of why I did not receive the "itemized" receipt is utterly ridiculous.
Also, not being able to send a formal complaint against this particular store on Friendly's website (due to a glitch) is also very frustrating. Friendly's website allowed for me to send my formal complaint via only a "general"...
Read moreJust a Friendlys showing you why they will be non existent in the next few years. The atmosphere was run down incredibly. The building has been beat to death and if you’re like me you’re wondering what the kitchen looks like. The smell, the smell if you have any is enough to question life choices. Go to the bathroom BEFORE you stop at this location. I was only able to use it by covering my face with my shirt. It smells like someone died in there in 2012 and they stuffed them somewhere so they wouldn’t miss a day of operation and with no ventilation in the entire room you’re left with figuring out how fast you can urinate before you lose consciousness from lack of air. This isn’t due to someone using the restroom before you, I was in there at 10pm when they close at 11pm and no one was in the restaurant with me. This is just the smell. The food was okay. Edible. The fries were horrendous. Wasn’t sure if they came to me cold because they were the last thing I ate or if they came to me lukewarm and froze waiting 6 minutes for me to eat them. The service was fine. Probably the best part. The table beside us however ordered a double burger and they sent a single and then just went to the kitchen to grab another single that they could bring out to put on the burger lol.
