Bring a boatload of cash for little food..Why is everything in that place 3 times what any other grocery store is...I paid 88 cents for a can of mushrooms 3 weeks ago...Today I went to get the same can of mushrooms and they were 2.19..Only difference is now it's tourist time here....if u like being taken advantage of because u are from another town then this is your place...This place makes a convienience store look like a value grocery store...And not to mention they served a warrant on a local mentally handicapped person that is loved by our community...Do yourself a favor...Save over half your grocery bill and drive to food lion at TS corner...only ten miles but well worth the drive...This place is...

Btw the Great Value grocery store and the other few stores like dollar general and family Dollar you can get groceries on the island. Went to this store several times during a week on the island. I believe that initially the stock was a bit thin due to the weather and the delivery truck was delayed. I will say that after several visits, we were happy that they did recently upgrade some of the store areas and items they stock. We were very happy with the gourmet section of cheeses, hummus and other items. Did find some beer from the area that was decently priced. The staff was friendly at the check out and helpful when necessary. We are glad that this store is available...

If there's only going to be one grocery store on the island, Great Valu can't be beat. We showed up for our first day of vacation and went here to stock up on all the supplies we didn't (or forgot to) bring. In addition to fair prices (which, to be honest, shocked me, considering there's no competition!), Great Valu had a wide variety of gluten-free breads (my wife was very happy about this) and a surprisingly good selection of craft beers (I was very happy about this). They even had giant bags of cotton candy (my kids were very happy about this!). Thank you Great Valu for making grocery shopping into a...
