I was on my way home and decided to get off of i-10 to get something to eat for my pregnant wife and me. She was craving her favorite restaurant, Sonic. When we pulled into the drive-thru, we were greeted and told to order when we were ready. After 1 minute of deciding, we attempted to get the employees attention. After 5 minutes of trying to get their attention we finally gave up and pulled up to the window. We sat there for 2 minutes honking the horn trying to get their attention that way, and was still a fail. I had to yell at an employee walking from delivering food to a vehicle in order to place my order. After placing it, I mentioned to them the hassle I've had to go through to order. The young woman who was working the window said they knew they were having problems with the driver thru communications) ( they should have had a solution for this and not have customers go through this for fast food if the speaker was the issue.)
After all of this, I had to wait 13 minutes for a cheeseburger, corn dog, and drink. While waiting for our food, they've already served 3 cars behind me that were in the drive thru as well. I'm not sure how they were able to place their order unless they were lying about the speaker being broke.
Overall it was a poor experience for that sonic...
Read moreWithin 24 hours of this review I was called personally by the manager on duty last night and had a very nice conversation with him so I am giving more stars. I have never had such a fast response (if any) and feel like this situation was understood and made right. I also understand the perspective from the other end as well. It's a good day when we all learn from an experience.
Came after our baseball game(Go Tigers) and let's just say if it wasnt one thing it was another. From missing pay options to someone's else's food coming out with one of our groups tickets(this order appeared on our screen with none of is talking or ordering) to our chilli cheese dog being completely void of chilli or cheese and to top it off we ordered milkshakes that were forgotten about until we asked(already paid for) and the guy finally brings them out laughing and carrying on like it's no big deal. More worried about playing games than doing their jobs. You wouldnt be reading this review if it wasnt for the lack of care there at the end with the laughter. Read moreOne star is being way to generous, they deserve a negative rating it I could. Literally sat at the drive-thru window over 20 minutes waiting on our order with no one in front of us. We were completely ignored, I had to get out of the car twice to try and see what the problem was only to be talked to rudely and very disrespectfully. We were told it was taking so long because they were waiting on meat and tots and after we got our food it was very clear that was not what we were waiting on because the tots were barely warm and the meat was not fresh by any means. This is not the first issue I have had with this Sonic. My husband and I ordered milkshakes a while back only to find part of the milkshake machine in mine and my husbands the wrong flavor. When I brought it to the attention of the manager that I had part of the machine in my milkshake they only offered me a coupon for a free breakfast burrito. I would not recommend...
