Horrible customer service. I purchased a kids club card for my daughter and I was having difficulties making it in every month- I asked 3 separate workers if it would be okay for me to come in after the month was up and redeem a cupcake. I was told it was no problem and theyâd either A. give me a couple to catch up or B. mark off the previous month so Iâd get my moneyâs worth. Perfect! Sounds great. Iâm a busy, full time student and 37 weeks pregnant so my schedule has been hectic. I went into the store about a week and a half ago to redeem my daughters cupcake. I was a few months behind at this point (because I was initially told not to worry) and was told this is not the policy despite being told 3 different times it was fine. I messaged the Facebook page, the Instagram page, and even contacted the store to get help and left my contact information- no response. The girl working at the store was rude as well and went to the back laughing and within 5 seconds came back and said she called her manager and she said no, they couldnât do it. Iâm beyond frustrated because we got cheated out of cupcakes and I havenât even been able to get a manager to respond to my frustrations. Itâs incredibly unprofessional to ignore customers, especially after implementing a âchange in policyâ after telling customers otherwise. I was waiting to see how this was handled before leaving a poor review but Gigiâs cupcakes will never get my business again and I will not purchase anymore Kids Club cards like I had planned to annually do. Poor, poor...
Read moreMy husband and I were so excited to see a Gigiâs Cupcakes in Christiansburg, VA while we were shopping at Grand Furniture. After shopping with Grand we walked over to Gigiâs. Cupcakes are my favorite dessert so I was stoked. Until I started asking questions of the young lady working the front. She clearly didnât want to be working on a lovely Saturday afternoon, at least I hope that was the issue, as she was so unhappy, sullen, and unfriendly. My planâŚalways a dozen cupcakes. My husband, unimpressed with the extreme lack of enthusiasm at paying customers in-house, countered with just 6. So 6 we chose and then the register didnât work with our Amex, so luckily we had cash on hand. I think this sullen young lady would have been just as thrilled if we had given up and left. @Shane & April Lefkowitz, I know it is exciting to be owners of such a popular franchise, and we are so pleased for you and excited about new offerings in the NRV. But the lack of customer concern and service will irreparably damage your business. I know staff is especially hard to find these days, but I hope you will make it a priority to find someone with the maturity and interest in connecting with your customers. We wish you all the best. As for the quality of the cupcakes, they were average at best. I have found myself to enjoy sub-par food many times before when delivered with a side of courtesy...
Read moreSimilar review to another failed wedding in September. We chose Gigiâs early in our wedding process, paid in full on the day we signed our contract. Had multiple phone calls confirming our order all the way up to the week before our wedding. Our order was supposed to be delivered at 3pm on our wedding day. Our coordinator waited until 3:30/4pm to start calling inquiring about our order. Took several calls and was told the baker quit and they did not have our order. My coordinator asked them to bring something asap- they arrived after 6pm. Gigiâs brought a $12.98 Walmart cake and completely frozen and the wrong flavors of our contracted cupcakes. We spent days after our wedding attempting to get in touch with the (now previous owner) Shane. We finally received a callback and were told we would be fully refunded from him âpersonallyâ. After over a month of fighting we received around $200 (half the amount of our order). We are not longer pushing to receive any additional funds because it is not worth the fight. But this review serves as a warning to the community and brides out there. I would NOT RECOMMEND in anyway to use...
