Very nice looking restaurant to walk up to and in. Very well laid out floor. Nice tables and overall clean looking. Menu is rather confusing to look at and rather unclear as to how to order your food or options as to meal. Needed to get a hand held menu to start to make sense with the assistance of the CSR. CSR was the only helpful to an extent stating "if I had any questions just ask." With my response of "Where do I start?" threw the poor girl off. After a multitude of questions trying to establish how to order with some suggestions of what to order I settled on their "Fancy Nancy" on a BLT layout all on a croissant with pasta salad as my side. Upon inspection and consumption of said sandwich I found it to be very lacking in size portion and "advertised contents" of said sandwich. One small piece of apple, two halves of a grape, and very tiny pieces of pecan contained within (only could tell of about 6 peppercorn sized pieces). To be an "Orchard Style Chicken Salad", it was a poor version. The pasta salad left a lot to be desired. Very dry style pasta salad. It wouldn't even rank in my Top 50 of all that I've had. Possibility of not even the Top 100. Overall the restaurant is very nice looking but I've had a better chicken salad at Subway. I have no desire to return nor suggest this place to anyone I know in or out of the restaurant industry. Save your money... there is better food and better portions other places for comparable prices, unless you REALLY have that big of a want for...
Read moreI was headed next door to Mission BBQ when I had a thought: why not try something new? I'm SO glad I did.
Though the restaurant’s theme caters to a specific audience that I didn't quite fit into (which is probably why I attracted some curious looks as I walked in), I put my ego aside and approached the counter. At this quick-service restaurant, I was warmly welcomed to Chicken Salad Chick. I ordered the BLT sandwich with the Kickin' Kay Lynne chicken salad on toasted wheat bread, along with a cup of chicken tortilla soup.
I believe all their chicken salads are mayo-based and prepared traditionally (with mayo, veggies, shredded chicken, etc.) into a spreadable form. It was delicious and appropriately portioned. The plate was well-presented (see pic), and it included a dill pickle spear and a cookie, which was a nice touch.
The restaurant was clean, and the employees were actively maintaining it and engaging with customers, which is rare these days. The staff seemed happy to be there and eager to help.
The bathroom antics were also a great touch.
Overall, they did a great job, and I will...
