First, I would like to start off and say that the service is the driving factor for why this is a two star review. We were seated and asked if we would like sparkling or still water and any other drinks by the host. Given the option, we chose still and a cup of coffee. It took 15 minutes before our server arrived to take our order and we still had not received our drinks. Later she came back with just the water. At this point it had been 40 minutes of waiting and we had to flag down the host to receive a coffee which was promptly given to us and charged to the house due to our long wait. While waiting, we noticed at least 3 servers and only a few table groups waiting for their food as well.We finally received our food after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting. It was enjoyable, but definitely not worth the wait. In addition to the wait, there is no option for complementary water. The still water is a $6.00 liter bottle, which is non standard for any other restaurant. Overall I feel that this restaurant could improve so much more with just a reliable amount of service. There definitely is not a lack of staff as there seems to be more than enough for the size of the restaurant. It absolutely should not take the time it did (omelette and pancakes) and there was little attention to our table from our server. Our server didn't even bring us our coffee or food, this was done by another waitress, our server only took our order and...

I am hoping that my experience was a fluke. We checked in. We waited 30ish minutes for a table. We got the text saying our table was ready. We were seated and asked if we wanted to purchase water...we said yes. The hostess said she would be right back with some waters........and then nothing. We sat there for about 20 minutes with our menus closed and no waters watching two servers repeatedly walk right by us and ignore us. I asked one of the waiters if he was the waiter for outside and he told me they don't have sections and walked away. I went back inside to ask the hostess if maybe we accidentally got forgotten. And yes. We never got put in the system I guess. All good. Mistakes happen. I went back outside and a few minutes later a server came out and told us she would be our temporary waitress. We ordered. 45 minutes later everyone who had been seated after us had long since been served, finished eating, and left. We found someone again and asked if maybe our order had not gotten put in. They told us that they were going to put it in right now. 20-30 minutes later we got our food. The whole process of getting our food was ridiculous. That being said...the food was fantastic. Absolutely delicious. Just wish it wouldn't have taken 2 hours to have breakfast here. No one adjusted the bill or apologized or anything. Not that I need or want free food...I just would have appreciated any sort of...

Extremely disappointed in the treatment of guest on the island at this restaurant. Waited 3 days to eat here and was surprised at the Blatant disrespect that was given to a customer that came in and stated that she’s been sitting outside waiting for a table for over 30 minutes with an elderly woman. The manager handled the situation poorly and the guest asked for her name to be removed from the list. Upon exiting she was met with Condescending remarks from the bartender “Thank You Honey have a good Day” his remarks were uncalled for and insensitive to a matter that didn’t concern him or the guest that he was serving at the bar. His remarks prompted the anger guest to come back into the restaurant and address the disrespect shown. As a guest on the island my experience was terrible and to be caught between an employee that seems to care more about local interaction then descalating an already intense situation. His comment made other guest feel uncomfortable but got a laugh from the locals. So, I paid for my drink and canceled my order. Better Customer service and less extra fuel is needed by employees. Not a good look....

The food and the portions were tasty and generous, I had Caroline's dip sandwich with fries and my only gripe would be all the fatty edges were not cut off before being plated as it is one solid hunk of meat so some bites were just pure fat. The atmosphere was very cute and fun that my wife enjoyed thoroughly. Onto the service, working in food I understand staff shortages so the wait did not bother me, it was how rude and condescending the staff my wife and I interacted with. After getting off a cruise and experiencing such amazing service there, it was a disappointment, and it's not like we were ablarge party, just my wife and I. Also, they just decided to skip part of our order, and we ended up not getting it. At least, they didn't charge us for what we did not receive.

Darling place - a diamond in the rough in Christiansted. Great atmosphere for photo ops and brunch dates. Be aware, you get charged for water. But it’s nice to have some San Pellegrino at the table. Breakfast and drinks (featured mimosa & s’mores latte) were tasty and presented nicely, but the menu stated my crepes would come with whipped cream. None came, so I kindly asked for some. They plainly said they were out - something I wish was mentioned to me when I ordered. Was a bit bland/dry without any filling, just flat pancakes and some strawberry preserve. Also, for a colorful, vintage, seaside cafe, the staff could’ve been a bit more chipper to have rounded out the experience, but overall, good service.

This is the best breakfast place at Christiansted. First of all, they have the nicely decorated and spacious environment! No matter if you are sitting in the lovely pink environment inside, or outside on the boardwalk, you feel you are sitting in the summer breeze. The staff is friendly and ready to share any island exploring tips. Cyd has been our favorite waitress. She is endearing, caring, and has such amazing energy. She offered us multiple refills on our coffee and was so fun to be around. The food there is fresh and delicious. We love their pancakes, omelets, benedicts, steaks, and much more. Dining at Caroline's is is the perfect way to kick start your day!
