As a frequent connoisseur of Indian cuisine, I am continuously on the quest for authenticity and exceptional flavor that transcends the ordinary. It is with great pleasure that I share my experiences at Himalayan House Restaurant in Chula Vista, a gem that stands out as a paragon of culinary excellence. The chefs here masterfully wield spices in a symphony of tastes that are both traditional and innovative, making each dish a discovery of its own.
From the perfectly seasoned Lamb Rogan Josh with its rich, aromatic gravy to the delicately spiced Vegetable Biryani, every meal is a testament to the artistry of true Himalayan cuisine. The naan bread, always freshly baked and delightfully fluffy, is the perfect companion to their creamy, well-balanced Dal Makhani.
Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant, with its warm and inviting decor, sets the stage for a dining experience that is both comfortable and enchanting. The staff's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu further enhance the meal, ensuring every preference is met with professionalism and courtesy.
It's no surprise that Himalayan House has become the go-to place for our company dinners. As the team at W and K Tech gathers here, we find not only a meal that satisfies the palate but also an atmosphere that fosters camaraderie and relaxation. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it is a venue where memories are made, making each visit significant.
For anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Himalayas, I wholeheartedly recommend Himalayan House Restaurant. It is a cornerstone of culinary craftsmanship that truly deserves every accolade...
Read moreI love Indian food and I am glad that we now have two Indian/Nepalese food restaurants close to where I live. I've tasted better in Hillcrest and Town Square mall, but it's still good and naan bread is my favorite bread of all.
Today, however, I park, get out of my car, I see a guy sitting down and smoking. I go around the building to the front and then walk in. There is a man at the counter and then the guy who was smoking walks up behind him. NO WAY did he washed his hands between the time I passed him by and the time he appeared behind the counter because it was only a matter of seconds! Obviously he did NOT wash his hands after smoking. But since I was already there, I went ahead and ordered. I ordered daal soup and was going to order naan bread, but I figured he would have to touch the bread so I just stayed with the daal soup. I regret not saying anything because it was totally unsanitary. Not returning. Sorry, because I've been a regular customer.. I'm going to the OTHER...
Read moreWe have gone to this restaurant for years for carryout. Recently, the prices have increased a lot. First of all, chicken tikka masala has gone from $14.95 to $18.95 and the samosas have gone from $4.95 to $7.95 for 2. We ordered it again last night on Uber eats and the biggest surprise is that the chicken tikka masala container has gone from 22 ounces to 12 ounces. We had an old container from it in our house and used a measuring cup and compared it. We also called and they said Uber eats would refund it if we contacted them, but Uber eats didn’t even respond to our message. So now rather than sharing 2 tikka masalas for our family we would have to get 4 because they literally made it almost half the size from the last time we ordered it a month ago. The food is good, but not worth the tiny portion sizes and your whole paycheck spent on Indian food. Absolutely ridiculous they did this to customers. It is not acceptable. Attached is a photo of the old carryout container and...
