I Actually Came Here For My Buddy's Birthday Dinner. I Was A Little Bit Earlier So I Sat @ The Bar And Ordered A Beer. I Asked The Bartender If She Could Put On The Sunday Night Football Game? I'll Make Short No Body @ This Joint Knew How To Change The Channels. Oh Yeah I Even Looked Up The Actual Station For Their Sattilite Company. I Went To The Table When My Buddy Came In. Yup The Waitress Asked For Our Drink's Order. I Ordered A Modelo On Tap. Oh Yeah She Brought A Bottle. I Asked For Tap & She Rolled Her Eyes And Brought Me What I Actually Ordered. I Definitely Did Like The Very Loud Band. Oh Yeah Unfortunately My Buddies Mom, Friends Daughter And His Son Didn't & They All Had To Leave. Yup Definitely Sitting In Back Is Very Recommended. I Don't Know When She Did It . I Guess In The Confusion Of The Music Debacle The Waitress Took My Buddies Families Order And Not Ours. Yup They Got Their Food And I Asked Her Why Didn't She Take Our Orders Together? She Just Said Well Did You Want To Order?! Yeah So We Did. We Definitely Waited Close To An Hour For Our Food. Oh Yeah My Friend Who Was By Me Was Very Upset. I Finally Got My Paper Thin Carne Asada Steak, Small Scoop Of White Rice And A Tossed On The Plate From A Can Pinto Beans. I Actually Also Ordered A Shrimp Tostada I Never Received It. Oh Yeah The Food Was Luke Warm. I Definitely Don't Recommend This Place For Dinner. Yeah But If You Want To Drink, Listen & Dance To A Good Band I Would Come Here. Oh Yeah The Waitresses Need Some More Training In Customer Service. Yeah A Pretty Face Is Nothing...

I had not been here in about 10-12 years, but back in the day it was a great place for fresh mariscos and good banda/norteño, especially on the weekends. From my recent visit, I have to say that a lot has changed. It has been remodeled and seems to be more spacious, quality of seats has not changed much. Prices are a little bit high, but not significantly, expect to spend around $35-40 per person in food and add another $20-30 (minimum) if you get a few drinks. Quality of food has stayed consistent, not the best seafood in town but decent enough to enjoy an aguachile or any other seafood dish. I would say it is at the same level of any other similar restaurant here in SD. Bathrooms are kept decently clean. Criticisms: they charge for water and do not offer a glass of tap water for free, it is disappointing to drink out of a regular plastic water bottle at a restaurant. Second, the environment on Saturday nights can be heavy, with a disproportionately number of dudes getting drunk with the potential to get aggressive quickly (something usual in Mexican restaurant-bars with corridos, its kind of cultural thing). Overall, it is still a good place to listen to some live banda/norteño and enjoy a few beers, oh, last thing, some of the waitresses are very cute...

We went yesterday, before heading out back to Texas. Wanted to try some seafood and came across this place. First of all, I do want to start off by saying the food was delicious. Everything we had was great. The problem? It took about an hour and half to get our food, yes there was 7 of us but that’s way too long. We had already gotten full with the chips and salsa. Then the worst part is the waitress was horrible, no smile no nada, seemed annoyed when we would ask for something. Then she brings out the bill and we asked if it could be slit by 3 party’s, she said no because it’s a big group and they already charged everything and included the tip. We then told her that it’s okay but to still just split the full amount, which also included the tip and taxes in between 3 cards and would look at us as just say something like, “but the tip is already included!” Pretty much thinking we won’t tip what she had already put on the bill. I was like, “you see here , the bill you brought us? It includes the tip and the taxes along with our meals already, just divide that whole amount in to 3 cards!”. She was still annoyed but needed up doing it and still making sure she put in the tip amount herself on one of the split bills lol...
