I was lucky enough to stumble into San Diego Kabob Shack today when looking for a place to eat with my clients.

Chula Vista has a shortage of "STAND OUT" Middle Eastern food but SDKS is a beacon of flavor in a desert.

We ordered the garlic hummus, the Triple Kabob Kombo, the Gyro Wrap, and the Zaatar Fries.

The garlic hummus is very light on the garlic but enough to give you the proper balance of sesame, garlic, and chickpea. And it's super creamy and amazing to spread on the fresh hot pita bread.

The Gyro Wrap came on toasted pita, a bed of veggies, a HEAP of Gyro Meat, and their amazing housemaid tzatziki sauce.

The kabob is extremely tender and cooked to perfection. I don't know how they get the beef so tender!! And the chicken has the perfect balance of onion, lemon, and garlic!

Finally, my personal favorite was the zaatar fries which were skinny fries, extra fried for the crunch, seasoned with zaatar.

I asked for all 4 sauces to try with the fries and my personal favorite was the green chutney.

I recommend eating here and trying out a new thing every time. I'm going back for the koobideh burger!!

Stopped by Kabob Shack in Chula Vista and was impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere is casual but bright and spotless, with a comfortable dine-in area. Staff was friendly — Michael, the lead, even came by to chat with us and check how we were enjoying everything.

We ordered the chicken kabob rice plate and a side of fries. The chicken was fresh, healthy, and well-seasoned, and the fries were huge — easily shareable. Everything is made to order, and they offer a self-serve sauce station (two sauces per item). I especially loved the garlic sauce and sumac chipotle, though I also tried the tzatziki, which was fresh and creamy. They also have a mango chili sauce for those who like a sweet-spicy kick.

Fun fact: they import their cannoli from Chicago — $8–9 each — which I didn’t try this time but definitely noted for next visit.

Price-wise, it’s a great value: tax and tip included, our falafel hummus wrap and chicken kabob dinner came to $37 total. High-quality food at reasonable prices is exactly why I’ll be coming back — plus they have other locations, including a brand-new one...

Don’t come here if you don’t want to be addicted to this place.

Mouthwatering Flavors: The chicken kebabs at this establishment are an explosion of flavors in every bite. Grilled to perfection, the tender and succulent chicken pieces are marinated in a blend of spices that create an unforgettable taste sensation. The diverse range of sauces and marinades offered adds a unique twist to each kebab, making every visit a delightful culinary adventure.

Great Desert Selection: including tiramisu and cheesecake

Impeccable Service: Beyond the delectable food, the service truly sets this establishment apart. The staff's warm and friendly demeanor creates a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall eating experience. Whether it's accommodating special dietary requests or providing knowledgeable recommendations, their attentive service adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top...

We absolutely love Middle Eastern Cuisine, and Kabob Shack in Chula Vista is our go-to spot for a tasty meal! There are two locations in Chula Vista, but we especially enjoy visiting the one on the corner of E Street & Broadway. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxing dinner. Tonight, we were greeted with warm hospitality and outstanding service from Lazaro, Mike, and Noel. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food, as always, was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. From the tender kabobs, the rice plate & delicious sides, every bite was a treat. My husband especially enjoyed the tasty lentil soup and the grilled jalapeño! If you’re looking for delicious Middle Eastern Cuisine with top-notch service, a casual atmosphere, Kabob Shack is the place to be! Highly recommend!
