Ah, D. Burnham’s. I spent a bit of time at this place. There were a few nights that I simply didn’t want to leave the hotel. It was particularly nice having a beer and hot meal here when it was snow showering outside. The beer selection here is pretty decent. They have a selection of microbrews on tap from various local breweries. I also liked the food that I had there. I was happy that there was a selection of healthy fare available. I should also mention that the staff here is friendly and welcoming. If I end up staying at the Renaissance Cincinnati again, I’d definitely come back here.

Yes yes.. Hotel restaurants are often known for being overpriced and underwhelming as they cater to a captive audience, so I somewhat reluctant came in due to a late flight, but wow… I give due credit to this place!! Fresh food and wonderful service. I highly recommend the beet orange salad—very refreshing and delicious for those trying to keep up a healthy diet even when traveling! For those staying at this Marriott this place is definitely worth dining at. And for those looking for a refined, yet cozy atmosphere to enjoy the evening, I’d recommend for non-guests as well!

We had such a delightful time for Valentine’s Day 2023, we returned again for VD 2024. Once again, the food and service was outstanding as were all the VD touches. We were visited by the chef, maitre d’ and general manager who were all flawlessly kind as was our service team led by Hewitt who was thoughtful and prompt. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Worst Service Ever. I was staying at the RENAISSANCE after the Bengals vs Raiders game, so it was predictably busy. However, prior to the game the bartender informed us they would be serving food until 11pm. I came back after the game, and was able to sit at a table near the bar. Apparently that one table was not eligible for table service, while every other table there was? Nobody actually said that, but nobody came to our table in the 1-1.5 hours that I was there. I was, however, able to get one drink while waiting at the bar for over 20 minutes during that time frame. I went back to get a second drink, and after waiting another 20 minutes a different table came open.

I saw waiters serving that table before the customers left, so I moved over to it after giving up on the bar service without a second drink. The table hadn't been cleaned yet, and nobody actually came to clean it. After about another 10 minutes a waiter went to the table behind me. The customer tried to order food, and the waiter told him that they weren't taking any more food orders, but his previous order would still be made. What? No more food orders? It was only 930pm. I thought the kitchen was open until 11pm? I asked the waiter after hearing that and he reaffirmed that they weren't taking anymore food orders. Look, I get it, it was extremely busy, and I'm sure the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders. But don't tell your patrons that the kitchen is open until 11pm if it's not actually going to be open. The entire reason I came back after the game was to have a late meal and a couple of drinks. And they couldn't even accommodate that to any degree.

But hey, the food looked great. And I am sure the chosen ones who were allowed to order...

Five stars for D. Burnham's restaurant inside the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Cincinnati! I recently popped in for a quick bite while running errands downtown, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Cali Chicken with fries, and both were absolutely delicious. The fries were perfectly warm and crisp, and the sandwich was filled with some of the freshest avocado and vegetables I've had in a while. I sat at the bar, where Matthew provided exceptional service. He was extremely welcoming and friendly, striking the perfect balance of engaging conversation while also giving me space to enjoy my meal. I hope everyone is as fortunate as I was to stop by when Matthew is behind the bar. I highly recommend D. Burnham's for a delightful dining experience in the heart...
