Since moving to Hyde Park the nearby Buffalo Wild Wings was my go to spot for wings. But now that Buffalo Wings & Rings has opened up I have a new favorite spot. The location is tucked back in Oakley Station and is in a brand new building. The inside is large, open, and very clean. There are plenty of seating options available with a large bar, high top tables, booths, and smaller tables. My wife has never been a fan of wing restaurants, but one great thing about Wings & Rings is that there is plenty of variety on the menu. Take this southwestern veggie burger for example, with cucumber, avocado, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle aioli, lettuce, tomato, and pickle ($9.99). The black bean patty was nothing out of the ordinary, but the toppings definitely kicked it up a notch. She was also happy to get steamed broccoli on the side instead of fries or chips. On our first visit I went with the buffalo chicken club with fried tenders in hot sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and bleu cheese dip ($9.99). Their buffalo tenders are outstanding, fresh fried and juicy. This is a great sandwich and the potato wedges on the side are also tasty. In many return visits my go to order has become 3 tenders in hot garlic-q sauce with a side of bleu cheese dip and celery ($7.29). My kids are fans of the mini corn dogs and the chicken tenders. My daughter loves that she can get a kids salad on the side with her meal. We are all big fans of Wings & Rings!

Mozzarella cheese sticks great, but marinara bland. Chicken wings good. Wings were juicy with some parts hard to chew because it was exposed to the deep fryer and not breaded properly. I didn't realize this until I was a 3rd of way through my meal. Sadly the chicken didn't have much of a flavor to it and neither did the breading. Sweet BBQ, that was suggested by staff, was bland. It just wasn't sweet or taste liked a BBQ sauce. I was just a bit surprised that for restaurant who seems to take a lot of interest in different flavors and heat levels, that it would turn out to be so bland. Tea was excellent. Wait staff are super, sweet, and on point. Their knowledge of their own brand was amazing and interesting to hear. This was my 1st visit & choosing a menu item was a bit overwhelming. I'll try a burger next time. I hope this can help you and your company to grow.

Got the Korean chicken sandwich. They were doing a special where the sandwich was $5 without a side. So I also ordered a side of onion rings. Picture shows what I got. The sandwich itself was definitely worth the five bucks I'd be happy paying a couple more for that. Was crispy and the sauce and slaw were just spicy enough to add zip without turning my mouth into an inferno. The rings were another story. Not particularly keen on paying $1 per ring. Not worth it all. Add that to the fact that they were not particularly good rings and the problem intensifies. We also had a problem of service. Our server took our order and brought our drinks but we didn't see her again for a half hour when she arrived with our food. It was a further challenge to get our drinks refreshed or issues with the food corrected. Overall, I can't recommend this location based on my visit.

My family has visited this location multiple times and I'll give you the run down on the good, the bad, and the reason we won't be back.

The good: the wings here most of the time are better than what you'd get at BW3s. The potato wedges are better too. Also, I'm a fan of the cauliflower wings (when they do them well which can be hit and miss). Overall, the food quality on most visits is far superior to the BW3s and not bad overall for a chain. Also, our kids enjoy playing on the tablets.

The bad: We've experienced a few hiccups in service during the visits we've made here. Our kids have enjoyed the place but there have been instances of very slow service, forgetfulness, and an event that was announced on facebook for kids only to have us show up and have no event going on.

Now, for why we won't be coming back. The last week has been a tough parenting week with sick kids and a full house during spring break. Yesterday my wife was very tired after a long day, as was I, and so we decided to make the kids dinner and then treat ourselves. She chose wings from Buffalo Wings and Rings.

I called in our order & right away I was concerned given that the person taking my order seemed very confused about what we were ordering. We ordered 10 boneless wings, cauliflower wings, and 2 sides. I showed up to grab our food and went home.

My wife immediately realized that the wrong sauce was on her wings. She tried to eat them anyway since we were tired but she didn't like the sauce. Then, my cauliflower wings were a little rough so I grabbed the extra sauce I ordered when further disaster struck. The sauce container wasn't sealed well & as I grabbed it from the bag the lid came off dumping sauce on me and our couch (which is now stained).

At this point, I was upset. We bought dinner to not have a mess, to relax, we spent money so that we could have a relaxing night. And now my wife has no dinner, my pants have to be washed immediately, & we have to work to get a stain out of our couch.

So I call the store & ask for a manager. I tell our story. What I was offered in response was an insult. The manager I spoke to responded with an attitude of "tough luck" when it came to the loose lid sauce container disaster. And in regards to our overall dilemma offered credit.

I didn't understand what she meant at first when she said credit so she clarified that she would give us 10 "free" boneless wings next time we visit. Now, here's the problem, those wings aren't free, I paid for them & never received them, how is that a credit?

When I pushed back on the offer I met hostility. It was never outrageous hostility in terms of any harsh words or actions, but it was kind of worse than that. It was apathy. This manager at the end of the day had zero desire to make things right. All she would offer was a food credit, to replace our whole order in the future, but get this, in order to get my wife's wings for that night I WOULD HAVE HAD TO BUY THEM AGAIN.

Then next time we can roll the dice to get our food order again. The only other option offered to me was to get my wife's 10 wings that night & get some lame food credit for the rest of the order for the future.

Overall, while I was very angry I didn't feel like arguing. It's a $30 order and I had already lost an hour of my time driving back and forth, needed to get my pants in the laundry, and we had already had to take time to try to clean our couch. I just didn't have the energy to argue.

I told this manager many times why we were upset and I asked that she would do something to make it right, to take an opportunity to flip the script, but she refused to take the opportunity. She was more than fine with me leaving upset, unhappy, and with no desire to come back. At the end of the day, she didn't care to lose my business so I doubt very much she cares about yours either.

So I'd say that if you want to visit this place, just be ready for apathetic service and sometimes good food. And if something goes wrong while you're there or with your takeout, good luck, you're...

To say I was highly disappointed and let down at this restaurant is an understatement..

To start off.. i ordered a Woodford and Dr. Pepper, which they were out of Dr. Pepper. [Which this will be the trend for some of how the night went]. When I was brought my drink, I was brought two separate drinks.. I don't know if they've never made mixed drinks before or if the waiter didn't understand what I was wanting.

We ordered appetizers and one of the people at our table ordered a margarita.. which they seemingly forgot to put salt on the rim of the cup.. the actual margarita itself tasked like Sprite with extra lime flavoring.. [Essentially a virgin margarita].

Now we ordered our entrée... we ordered two burgers, chicken tenders, apple slices, fries, mac and cheese, and a chicken ranch salad.

They didnt have Fries or apple slices. Which at this point began to become irritating.

When we got our food, we ordered our burgers well done. Our burgers were brought out with one corner well done and the other side raw. The chicken tenders were still pink in the middle and the chicken on the salad was still cold.. the mac and cheese was nothing more then a solid block. The only thing that did come out decent were the fries.

As out of towners we had high hopes for having a restaurant next door to the hotel, but after tonight's food, and me having thrown up twice now from eating the chicken before my son did.

I would not by any means recommend this restaurant to sit and eat at. Now if you wanna get a beer with the boys and watch the game I would say sure they'd hopefully get you taken care of some what.

The only positive thing from the night was our server did a great job for being the only server, and getting slammed after we got sat down. I will also say the manager did listen to what we said and took care of us.

That being said my profile tells you how I am. I'll call a spade a spade and this restaurant was...

The food is a little over priced.... However, most of the staff are kind and courteous, but there were two younger girls doing prep work in back where I could see from where I was seated, it looked like she was putting maybe potato wedges into plastic baggies like pre making them or whatever... After I had said something to my server about her not wearing gloves another young girl walked back there and started helping her do the prep work.... They each only had one glove on one hand, and was sticking their ungloved hand inside the little plastic sandwich baggies to open it therefore any bacteria, germs, hair, etc. that was on their hand went inside the bag that the food went into and they got an attitude about me saying something about it....!! For a 10 piece order of boneless wings fried with sauce on the side, an order of potato wedges with cheese, 2 Cokes, and pretzel bites plain with caramel on the side cost us $38 plus the tip.... In my eyes that is a little high for the amount of food that was ordered.... It shouldn't cost $40 to feed 2 people.... They charge like $2.65 for a soft drink we got 2 which was $5.30 which I feel is absolutely ridiculous.... I understand making money, but you shouldn't make your customers feel as though they are being ripped off.... What was it like 6.99 for what amounted to the size of 1 soft 🥨 cut in pieces.... A basket of potato wedges add shredded cheese $4, and the 10 boneless wings fried with sauce on the side were like $14..... Then they do false advertising, and tell you if you download the app and sign up you get a free starter, but they don't tell ya that you only get it if you spend $15 before tax and gratuity til after you do...
