Everything was fine, until the food arrived. My friend and I were craving a good steak so we indulged and decided to go to an actual steakhouse for a treat. We came in on a slow weekday night and our waitress was lovely, very helpful in making sure we were comfortable.

Firstly, they had mismatched and forgotten our sides. My steak was served with my friend’s sides, and my friend’s plate had my side of pilaf and was even missing the green beans I had initially asked for. However, the staff was nice to offer extra sides and brought them to us quickly.

But then we cut into our steaks.. One of ‘em was undercooked and not cooked to order. Almost half of my steak only consisted of fat, then as I picked away the mushrooms on top I realize the meat had that iridescent sheen to it (see video). I understand that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gone bad, but maybe make the effort of preventing or hiding it, because not all guests know this and would be immediately put off. This really ruined both of our appetites.

We were starving before we came in, but all we could stomach were the fries and veggies. The rice even tasted like something you’d get from a microwaveable pouch. The thing is— we really wouldn’t have cared about the sides if the steaks were just done right. We expected much more from a place that calls itself a “steakhouse”; you had ONE JOB and I’m sorry, but whoever was cooking that night really blew it. If you’re charging $30+ a plate, it better be the best damn steak in town.

So we’re charged $90ish for just two horribly done (possibly rancid?) steaks, an iced tea and a coke? A manager was kind enough to give us a discount and we end up only paying for one dish instead of two for $50.

The interior feels very outdated and stuffy. The 80s style fabric booths look like they were once brighter colors and have browned over the decades. I can only imagine what the carpet is really like, it was too dark to tell. Our overhead light was very harsh too and overall not a pleasant atmosphere to dine in.

Quite honestly, I would have just left the sweet waitress a good tip and dashed it. We both agreed we could have gotten a tastier steak combo at a Denny’s or Mel’s. This was our first time trying this place and most likely also...

UPDATE: 03/21/23 I was advised to contact customer service about our poor experience here and haven't heard back in three months. I wonder if anyone has ever gotten a response from emailing when they've been advised. Pretty disappointing.

My husband and I decided to come here for our anniversary dinner. Food was very gross. I'm not sure if we were there on an off night but it was not good. We got the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer and that was tolerable. I ordered a NY strip with baked potato and Mac n cheese. My husband ordered the top sirloin with potatoe and salad. The potatoes tasted like a storage shelf. Like Idaho spuds from the box but in a baked potato. The Mac n cheese was bland and had a strange consistency. Unfortunately the "butter" wasn't butter, it was margarine. My steak was cooked perfectly but my husbands was overcooked and both seemed as though it had been in a sous vide not on a grill. It has a sickly Grey color on the outside. The house salad was pretty good. To drink i ordered a $12 Motherloade margarita and it tasted like pool water. Changed to a mule and that tasted like soap. Really strange. My husband had modelo and that was good. For dessert we ordered the NY style cheesecake with strawberry topping. The cheesecake tasted like lemons and had a gritty aftertaste. I didn't even try the strawberry topping. As for the service we were seated in about 10 minutes but waited a lot longer to have our order taken. We were never offered water. I don't think we even got our waitresses name. She was nice enough but seemed distracted. She took a long time to come back around to us although she did a great job accommodating us the best she could. Overall not a great experience. The food is no where near worth the price. Also weird choice of music playing. Will not be...

What happened to Black Angus? It has been years since I last ate at one. We were sat promptly for a Tuesday night at 6 pm. Then it went downhill. I don't know if they have staffing issues or if it was an employee issue. They brought us water, and we ordered our food right away, plus a drink. The drink eventually came. Our food came out after about 25 minutes after we ordered. Our dinner salads came at the same time. Our steaks were cooked incorrectly, and one was sent back. We didn't see our server the whole time the food was being redone. There are no offers for any steak sauce or other condiments. The manger brought out the redone steak. Prepared correctly the second time. Again, our server is nowhere to be found. Actually, no servers can be seen. We asked for a box, and we were asked if we wanted desert and declined. We got our bill, and the server disappeared again for 15 minutes plus. Our bill was incorrect, overcharged, and a soup I didn't get. Went to the front ask for a manager. Got our server who said they couldn't change our bill, only a manager could. They left and then came back with the correct bill. And stated " I would have caught that if I gave you the bill" they did give us the bill. And the kicker no manger came out. Then, another employee walks out of a room eating food at the front desk. I am in total disbelief about how bad it was. I don't know if Door Dash and others have made it where service is just not important. Or if the whole place is just a wreck. Overall, it was disappointing. My advice is to go...

The Real Deal is Black Angus Steakhouse which delivers on taste and old time charm! First let’s kick it off with the service, food and service was solid, no issues, good waiter. The atmosphere is like an old western saloon, the building is older so the restroom you really notice it but overall I like the old fashion look might need a little update in bathrooms. Now onto the last and most important part The FooD, we had the Tomahawk Steak dinner fed three of us it came with app, 4 sides, the Tomahawk steak and a dessert for $129, I was impressed with the steak solid 8/10 a little more seasoning and cook asked for was medium received medium well. I was happy with the steak for this type of restaurant. The app was a sampler which was well done with the chicken strips being the most impressive 8/10. The sides were Mac n Cheese, Asparagus, Broccoli and Au Gratin Potatoes which were all delicious 9/10. The dessert we had three of them everyone enjoyed at the table especially the cookie with ice cream 9/10. Overall, it has been a long time since I’ve been to Black Angus but I was really impressed of what came out on the plates from flavor to portions. I will be back!

I have been here twice in the past 2 weeks. Once for Father's Day which was great. They even accommodated my reservation change same day. So I decided to try and pick up a couple steaks to for my husband to BBQ since they were $10 less per lb and I could get the good butter to top them with. I arrived on time, let them know via online check in and told the hostess. I waited in the lobby for 25 minutes for 2 uncooked steaks while countless parties were sat (walk in and reservations) and 5 other cooked orders were picked up. It made me feel forgotten and set my dinner back half an hour. I should have ordered it cooked. Especially since I tipped 15% beforehand. I ended up paying the same I would have at the supermarket and wasted 30 minutes of my time for something that could have been an easy grab and go experience that I would have continued to do. Now I just have a bad taste in my mouth and a hungry husband telling me "I told you so."
