Feeling depresso? Have some espresso, and more!
Ok, so I’ve always hit up the other coffee shop in beacon for a plain old cup o’joe just for pure convenience and because I really loved the vibes. That all changed once I came to the Big Mouth Coffee Roasters. Let’s start with their logo, a HIPPO! Where there a hippo you can’t NOT love it!
Spacious hipster coffee bar. Quiet atmosphere. Great space to do some work or for a coffee date. Truthfully it’s perfect for sketching and people watching if you ask me. If you’re just in the mood for a book and cappuccino, go for it. This place is everything. Love their blends, style, vibes, people. It has it all. Pour over coffee for sure is good enough for two, so you can share! They sell “day old” pastries form the bakery down the street at a discounted price as well.
Furry friends are welcome, your pup doesn’t have to wait outside for you. So bring him in!
Knowledgeable staff that will guide you with the roast process in case you’re a little undecided on what to order.

Ever since they opened a few years back I've been going to Big Mouth almost exclusively for coffee. I've spent countless hours hanging out with local friends and chatting with the incredible baristas they've had over the years. Alex the owner is an awesome dude who often relies on the opinions of locals and friends in making decisions about the business which is refreshing to see. You can tell there is as much attention to the branding as there is the roasting. I love the atmosphere and how they feature local artists, rotating the gallery every few weeks. They have really found their identity on Main Street and off with their occasional collaborations like the coffee beers with Newburgh and Hudson Valley Brewery. I always keep a bag of their signature house blend at home but I especially enjoy the Nicaragua pour over. Working as a concierge at a boutique Inn in town, I always recommend Big Mouth to coffee person.

Read moreVisited this Roasted blindly ( actually intended to go to a different place across the street ). My friend and I hiked the trails at Anthony Nose and I suggested to hike the Fire Tower in Beacon as well but rain didn't want to stop. Therefore, we decided to eat instead. After lunch, we wanted to get coffee and dessert. The name of the roaster caught our attention and we decided to give it a try. The ambience was calm, peaceful and was just what I needed after a tired hike in the rain. We ordered different dessert, coffee and chai tea. The roaster also sell coffee beans (why not). We both bought dark coffee beans as we need bold and strong coffee to start our days. The barista was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even described to us how the coffee would taste. We also found some unique furniture that we like at this...
