When I saw main street was being graced with this incredible place, I became so excited.
But I didn’t know when they would open.
Luckily a friend of mine told me they were finally open so of course I had to try it, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment you walk in you are instantly greeted by not only smiles from their hard working team, but a heavenly aroma of spices. Aaaaah finally!! This Latina was so happy to smell all the flavors in the air.
We were seated quickly and every table was full. Love to see that. Our server was so welcoming and cheerful. We started with steak nachos and were blown away!! Everything was perfect, especially the meat. Ugh so good. I then ordered chicken birria which is my favorite and my husband ordered something else, I forgot what it was called but he loved it!! We both inhaled our food.
Finally we had to try the churros and flan. Now churros, as simple as they can be, can be ruined, same with flan. Well that was not the case. My caramel stuffed churro drizzled in decadent chocolate was pure perfection, and the flan was equally perfect. Everything was so good that we literally sat there in silence for a few minutes just appreciating the flavors.
I am so glad we stopped in, this will for sure become my new favorite spot. Also they are opened everyday which is great for us locals, it’s nice to have more options during the week.
So don’t walk but run here!!! You will not...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place. I adore birria and I was so excited for them to open! Sadly, it’s just underwhelming. The atmosphere feels kind of sterile, they could use some better lighting and some art or decor for the walls, but honestly I don’t care much about that kind of stuff. If the food is good, I can totally forgive atmosphere stuff. The service is almost comically slow. With three waitstaff and 2 tables including ours, it somehow still took forever for our server to come over and we finally had to wave someone down to get help. Also not sure why it took so long to get chips and salsa given that the place was empty. The first time I went, I was pretty pleased with the Birria tacos, although nothing else we ordered was very good. The salsa is bland and has a canned taste and the other tacos were bland as well. But if the birria was good, that’s all I ask. Sadly, when I returned, the beef in the Birria tacos was inedible. Super grisly with tons of blobs of fat and strings of this super gross tendon stuff that I had to spit out. What a bummer! When I pointed the gristle out to our server, she told me the kitchen wasn’t paying enough attention to the beef preparation… I really, really hope they can solve their kitchen issues because I’d love to eat here if...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Barbirria is a hidden gem in Beacon, NY! 🌮🔥 From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The Mexican cuisine here is nothing short of outstanding. Pescado Marinado: A flavor explosion! The fish was tender, perfectly seasoned, and left us craving more. La Barbirria Parillada: Meat lovers, rejoice! The meats were cooked to perfection, and each bite was a celebration of smoky goodness. Flan: A sweet finale that didn’t disappoint. Creamy, velvety, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our server, Bridget, was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The entire staff made us feel like family. We’re already planning our next visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this culinary treasure! 🎉👏
