Vinyls and beers? Just for the record, it’s the best combo ever!
Came out here on record store day with some friends. I had never heard about the Vinyl Room but the idea of records and sipping on a beer totally got me all in! It was such a fun little drive and getting to Wappingers Falls was even cuter than expected. This adorable town made this place even better.
As soon as we walked in it was exactly what I could’ve imagined. A bar on the right with some awesome drafts. Long tables bar style. Records and more records everywhere. Oh, and PAC-MAN! Yes! They had little arcade game machines to play with for free. It doesn’t get better than this!
Ordered my sour beer, scrolled through records, jammed to some music; and just like that, it was the perfect Saturday night spent with awesome friends.
They have a nice sale section in the back where you can find some nice steals and good deals. The guy on the bar side was pretty awesome and knowledgeable. Made us feel welcome and at home. Also had awesome suggestions for the beers on tap.
If you’re hungry, you can order a bite through the Vinyl Room. They’re able to order for you from next door at the Pizzeria that’s attached to it. They receive the orders through a cool little window.
We ended up wanting to go directly the Wheel pizza place but ended up walking right out of it since the guy working there was such a jerk. Also he was ready to warm us up some stale pizza that was sitting there.
Anyways, this review is for the Vinyl Room but I did want to give a tiny heads up on the pizza place. Not worth it. Just stay in the VR and you’ll have an amazing time.
I do have to say beers were surprisingly not that cheap but like I said it’s worth the great time. Oh, also, they have a section for you to try out the records and listen to them before you buy!
For the record, this...

Read moreDisappointed with my experience tonight at the Vinyl Room. I have been a customer since the establishment was located in Wappingers (I had a previous 5 star review before updating it to this) and always had an amazing time / positive things to say. Tonight, at their recently opened Beacon relocation I did not have the same feelings. I went to get a bite to eat in the afternoon, a few hours after opening. Noticing that there was only one other group of women sitting on the couches, I didn’t think there would be an issue with seating and accommodations. I ended up standing in the doorway for about 10 minutes before being told by someone at the bar that we could sit at any booth. We waited for over 30 minutes without service and weren’t sure if service was going to be coming to the table or if we were supposed to go to the bar. If there was a sign designating to go to the bar for food orders I would have happily done so. However, there was no such thing. I decided to leave after sitting for 30+ minutes considering no one at the restaurant came to the table I was at.
As much as I loved this place previously I’m pretty disappointed with the service at this time. I understand the business is focused towards the nightlife but if you’re offering dining options then you need to cater to those who are there for dining options. We debated staying and going up to the bar to ask but decided to look at other reviews first. I noticed there were a couple reviews stating a similar experience to mine from a few weeks ago which was an indicator to us that we should go...
