Brother's Trattoria — Restaurant in City of Beacon

Just want to spread the word on an awful experience I had with Brothers trattoria in Beacon . A month ago I went to visit the restaurant and loved the food it is delicious. Last night I called an order to pick up with my parents and my son . My son is 1 years old and my mother is disabled difficult for her to get around so I said we should order and pick up . I called the order in and went to pick it up because they didn’t have delivery. We are all new to the area moved here a little over a year ago . Not being from around here I had no idea this restaurant has two separate locations . When I walked in to pick up my order I learned that I had called the wrong restaurant. I said I apologize It is my mistake can I please order from here I am here now I have my baby in the car with my dad we will wait for the order . I called the other restaurant to let them know my mistake where the owner on the phone said to me ! Mistakes don’t pay my bills and hung up abrupt. As I am in the place brothers trattoria in beacon at the moment the owner runs to the front of the store and says no no no you need to leave now and go get your food at the other restaurant. I stayed calm and walked out . I will never do business here again being kicked out and refusing to serve me . Awful and it is a shame if they knew how to conduct business they would thrive because the food is good . But to turn away a customer and treat someone that way was disgusting and they should be ashamed of...

Went to Beacon for a day trip with my wife and kid. Originally made plans to go the Vault across the street, but when we arrived at 7:00PM they told us that they were closed, eventhough we had called to ask if we needed a reservation and they said just to walk in. Anyway, we were glad they turned us down, because we crossed the street to Brother's trattoria and had a wonderful meal. The wine list has something for everyone and at reasonable prices. I dont normally drink Merlot, but had to try the Stags leap 2018. It turned out to be a great complement to a great meal. We started with the fried calamari and the shrimp and peppers appetizer. Both crisp, cooked just right and with good flavors. For the entree my wife had a shrimp and pasta and I had the surf and turf special. Everything was cooked to order and tasted fresh. We ended our meal with a cheesecake brulee, which we had not tried before: it was rich and balanced. Afterwards the owner was kind enough to help us find a bed and breakfast to spend the night. Brothers Trattoria is a true hidden gem 💎 ✨️ in Beacon. There may be other places to eat, but this is the one! I love the fresh food, and there are even items to help those who are gluten-free or have other dietary restrictions.

I am a sucker for fried calamari. So, whenever I go anywhere to eat and I see it on the menu. I have to have it. But, I have to wonder how good it is. Is it frozen and coming straight out of a box? Reheated and rubbery? Do you relate? 🤔 But, here ... do not worry! The calamari tastes so fresh with a buttery-ness that can not be beat. The price and amount are great, especially for the taste and quality.

I took my brothers here to eat, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything!

There are even other rooms to highlight, but I will save that for a future review after my 10th wedding anniversary 😄 I plan to bring my wife here. Thank you so much Ken, Cheryl, and the rest of your kind staff and family.
