While small in size, this restaurant is a big success! From the moment we arrived, service was terrific. Our waitress, Victoria was welcoming, efficient and very good. We started with the fried calamari - it was terrific, lightly battered, very flavorful and not at all chewy which is often an issue. The bread was served lightly toasted and the perfectly crusty. The olive oil and chili flavored balsamic (?) was so good. I could have just dipped bread all night! The salads were nicely presented, no discolored lettuce, and served with delicious homemade dressing. In my opinion, a homemade dressing really steps up any salad. Finally for entreees, my husband had chicken Parmesan (with a side of the tastiest sausage!) and I had a special of chicken cutlet topped with fried eggplant, spinach and red sauce. The marinara sauce is delicious. On a side note, it was nice to see a chicken cutlet Parmesan served as a full cutlet, not cut in strips the way the local restaurants serve it.
We were pleasantly full and skipped dessert but I'd love to try their rainbow cake. If their desserts are half as good as their appetizers and entrees, I'd be very happy.
As a former Long Island girl, it was so nice to have an amazing Italian dinner close to home. Wishing Buonno Notte lots of success as long as we can still...
Read moreHeard good things about this place so we decided to try it as we love Italian food. People there were pretty nice,I’ll give them that. Normal business when it came to ordering drinks and food. It did however take almost one whole hour from the time we got there to get our salads. With hardly any words exchanged from staff in between for a heads up or something. We then asked 45 minutes in about our small side salads (just two) and our only reply by staff was “your salads will come out”.OK. In that hour of waiting a larger group of people came in and ordered glasses of wine and were attended to frequently. Meanwhile we weren’t even asked for refills on our sodas.(We don’t drink) We finally got our salads and not too long after our main course. Which I’ll admit was good. We do have a 5 year old child who has a hard time sitting sometimes so about an hour without food wasn’t easy. Communication could’ve been a lot better. This place does have good food but not the best place for kids. If you go there looking like you’ll spend a good amount of money you should have no...
Read moreWas visiting Glens Falls today and happened upon this restaurant and I am very happy that I did. We were greeted very warmly and promptly on arrival. Service was impeccable. I feel saying anything further would cheapen the sentiment. The food. WOW!!! I often find myself comparing any italian restaurant food to my mother's but what we had was beyond impressive. High quality ingredients and care put into preparation. The bread and oil brought to the table some of the best I've had in quite some time and was a wonderful start to the meal. The raspberry vinaigrette was delicious. I had the carbonarra italiana. Carbonarra made the right way with egg yolks and cheese...no cream. Perfect. Our party had also ordered chicken parm and baked ziti. Just amazing. The highlight of the visit was the conversation had with the owners and staff. We talked about how much we appreciate and love our shared italian american culture and bonded over spaghetti sandwiches. I can't wait to return to try the meatballs and the manicotti. Top...
