My first and perhaps only experience at Gino' s was not good at all. First of all the only reason I went there for lunch was because my co - workers recommended it. I work at a rehab facility not far from the restaurant. To start, trying to find a parking around this area at 12pm is a nightmare. No place to park. So if you drive by yourself, you need to rush in there to grab your order and get out before you get a ticket. Now, let's talk about my order, I ordered the pecan salad with grilled chicken. When I got to the restaurant my order was already packed and ready to go. Since I was in a rush, I assumed napkins and utensils were inside the bag. Well, there was nothing there. When we called to complaint, the woman on the phone stated that customers have to avail themselves of napkins and utensils. We asked, what about new customers that do not know where these items are located in the restaurant, we were told by the woman on the phone, that they can not assume someone needs forks. Now, let's talk about the salad, when I finally got my own utensils and started to eat, I was starving, to my surprise, I found a 3 inches long piece of wood. It definitely killed my appetite. The salad was good until the piece of wood showed up. I was told by my co - workers to go back and complain, but I felt like I had already wasted a lot of time with Gino's. So, I rather write this review. Gino's gets 2 stars because the salad tasted good, at least what I was able to eat.

We took a day trip on the train from Manhattan to the seaside at Long Beach on Long Island and decided to have lunch at Gino's when we arrived, so we could walk some of it off along the boardwalk afterwards Gino's was conveniently located opposite the Long Beach LIRR MTA train station and had a traditional formal restaurant on one side and a pizzeria cafe on the other side of the building. We chose to eat in the formal restaurant and took advantage of their 2 items from their limited choice lunch menu for $17. We ordered a can of Peroni beer each, which came with a complimentary glass of iced water and a bread basket of delcious freshly baked baguettes and seeded crackers with butter. My wife chose to have a Mediterranean salad with her American Hero sandwich (grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella & tomatoes in a soft sub roll) and I had a small bowl of spaghetti bolognaise with my sandwich. The food was very tasty & made with quality ingredients and our waiter was very friendly & courteous. The total bill came to $55 including a 8.63% sales tax

Is there a way to give zero stars?? First off, the waiter got my order wrong. I asked for a shrimp oregenata and he brought a pasta oregenata. I was there with my husband, toddler and 5 month old. My toddler was being a toddler and singing to herself and this extremely rude individual who I was told was the owners daughter came to harass us to say our daughter was too loud and we should come pay the bill upfront. I told her she was being rude and disrespectful and she said we had been told several times for her to keep it down which I responded nobody had come to us to say anything. There was another family with a two year old throwing tantrums but nobody said anything to them, I guess cause they are white and we are not. This is NOT a kid friendly restaurant, the customer service is garbage and the food was not great.

Gino's in Long Beach New York have the worst customer service when answering the phone and taking proper orders when it comes to dealing with customers and when the representative who is taking the order get your orders wrong and when I call the store to have my order corrected after being delivered Gino's staff have been very disrespectful to long time paying customers such as myself today was the last straw I was asked not to order from their establishment ever again and not only do they have an attitude when I wanted my order to be corrected the female hostess that took my order blatantly lied to me and told me what I ordered and what I did not order then she had the audacity to lie to the managers in the store I was very disgusted and never will I ever order from this establishment ever again they will never get another hard earned dollar from me after the disgusting treatment I received today from one of the female hostess and how I was lied about to in from the person who originally took my order. I'm going make sure I let it be known how Gino's staff is highly disrespectful and they need better training when it comes to customer service when dealing with black people that supported their establishment for years. I won't spend another dollar in this...

My family and I have been going to Gino's for over 30 years. The pizza has always been the best, even with some hiccups in between. about 2-3 years preceding the renovations and change in management, Gino's service was going down hill. We would arrive for dinner at 6 pm, and wait 45 minutes for 1 pie to come out (should take no longer than 15 minutes). Even worse, sometimes we would have to approach the cashier and find out that our pizza was misplaced and given to someone else. The pizza was still in top form (we always ordered fresh pie's as it is always the best right out of the oven), but they were stingy with their salads. This was all before the change in management. Now I must say the service is actually better (contrary to what some reviewers are saying. Now there are actually a ticket you get when making an order, and every so often a young man or woman walks around greeting customers and seeing if they are waiting for anything. This is such a drastic improvement from the previous ownership, that I wish I could go more often. The place is still not perfect, high prices and always packed, but you can't get a better pie than Gino's...
