One of the best delis in town! Sandwiches are always on point. They always answer the phone and the wait is never too long. They serve breakfast late. Staff is always hustling. Everything is clean and fresh. Great family run operation. Thank you!
Slight update: They usually have premade wraps in the fridge for an easy grab and go for like $10. Before work today I didn’t want to risk them not having one bc I knew they were closing soon. So I called in a wrap today with chicken, fresh mozz, roasted red peppers and added mixed vegetables. My wrap was $17.25 bc I added the mixed vegetables. The wrap was soaking wet and fell apart in my hands. I took a couple of bites, mopped myself up in the car. Threw it all out. So I guess don’t do what I did? I’ll stick to bacon egg and cheeses and cold cut sandwiches and NO mixed veggies bc they are worth more than gold.
Huge update. All makes sense now. Place was sold to new owners. Called in two sandwiches today. The man repeated the orders back to me. I received one sandwich missing 4/6 ingredients and it was written on the ticket stuck to the sandwich. And oddly only one side of the sandwich had onions? I don’t get it. I was going to give them one more chance. I’m...
Read moreWe stopped on July 5th 2024 to pick up three sandwiches to go to the beach. I got the LEETCHIE (Fried Eggplant, Fresh Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Roasted Peppers & Balsamic Vinaigrette). When I opened it up, about 15 minutes later, I found a soggy mess of too many, very thin, slices of eggplant that were deep fried in breadcrumbs and oil, several wedges of peppers, and a strip of non-fresh prosciutto. The bread was wet with the deep-fryer oil, which made it chewy; the eggplant was mostly breadcrumbs and oil, the peppers were meh, and the prosciutto was dry and old-looking, my guess is that they freeze the prosciutto and just defrost enough each afternoon. I ate just a few bites and had to throw away the rest; I tried to fish out the better parts, but didn't really find any. My kids also didn't enjoy their sandwiches but I don't have a description of their grievances. I think this place is used to serving tourists who don't know better and are already far at the beach when they come to see that their sandwiches suck. They were open on july 5th and they had a fridge with slightly cold drinks, so I guess that earns...
Read moreI stop at Brand's Deli at least 4 times a week. I am always greeted with a warm smile and friendly hello. Fabiana, the new owner is doing a great job of maintaining the excellent service and quality of food there. I can only speak to the early morning breakfast menu but they make the best bacon and egg sandwich I have ever tasted. So glad I discovered Brand's when I first began working in Long Beach over 2 years ago. Keep it up. You have a...
