Went to the grinch that stole Christmas book reading and painting of 2 heart ornaments. They were not attentive when we were painting. Gave us wet pieces of clay which I have never seen when potter painting, maybe that’s why my sons pottery chipped on the way home. Once we finished painting, they said they would call us when it was ready. I calling a week before Christmas and it wasn’t done, they said they would call me when it was. I called again 3 days before Christmas and it was done but I had not received a call from them. When I finally went to pick them up. I got home and they had given me another child’s ornament instead of my sons. I called to let them know about the mistake and to see if they still had my sons ornament. They had it but instead of profusely apologizing, they said I should come back ASAP so that the other child could have the right ornament. Mind you, it’s 30 mins from my house so each trip took me an hour. And to top it off, they gave me the ornament without a string plus it chipped before we made it home. Bottom line, they don’t care about the customer and I will never be going back!! Waste of...
Read moreThrilled Earth Arts is under new ownership! They have really elevated the space and activities for both kids and adults. I love the options of items to paint - so many useful and beautiful home goods like plates, canisters, planters, and oil canisters. Super cute items for kids like swords and of course piggy banks. So impressed with the kids camps activities and how they’ve incorporated real art history (I was a fine arts major so I really notice this!). I’m signed up for a hand building class and know it’s going to be awesome. They have really nice equipment for the pottery classes. As someone who was a member of a pottery studio in NYC I’m super excited for the wheel and hand building classes. The community is so lucky to have this space under...
Read moreThis place is amazing - only 15 minutes from 5 Towns/ Far Rockaway, there was a large selection of things to paint and different colors to use, along with colors that were mixed in really cool ways!! Each person got their own spinner to put their ceramics on as they painted it, which made it so easy and also so fun for the kids! Most important, the staff were incredible and so beyond nice. Zoey was so patient with my kids and even gave them different art activities to do while the older ones finished. Susan, the owner, helped the kids write their names on their ceramics in fancy letters. They were so kind and we are definitely...
